Born Wicked

Chapter 7

Mar 04, 2026 7 / 12

Panic flickered in Luna's eyes, impossible to conceal.

She felt her parents' scrutinizing gazes burning into her.

Their stares pricked her back like needles.

She had to act before I exposed more secrets.

This time, she would stake everything.

She began showering me with unprecedented affection.

Designer dresses appeared in my room.

Diamond necklaces were placed on my vanity.

She even visited daily for tea and conversation.

"Sister, please forgive my past childishness."

"Let's be real sisters from now on."

Her eyes glistened with unshed tears, voice trembling.

Her acting was flawless—enough to fool anyone.

Too bad I saw through her game.

Seven days later, she brought a "reconciliation gift."

The latest smartphone gleamed coldly in her hands.

"Replace that old phone, sister."

"Consider it my apology."

Her smile was sweet and innocent.

I accepted the phone calmly.

When I thanked her, I caught the flash of triumph in her eyes.

Her skirt fluttered as she turned away.

I immediately pried open the SIM card slot.

A tiny GPS tracker clung to the chip.

This wasn't meant to bring me home.

It was meant to lead me into a trap.

A cold smirk curled my lips.

She wanted me gone.

I wanted to expose everyone behind her.

I pretended to adore the new phone.

My fingers glided over the screen.

Meanwhile, I sent a message from the old phone hidden under my pillow.

The recipient? The officer who saved me years ago.

"The bait's taken. Ready the net."

Three days later, Luna suggested a countryside outing.

She claimed I looked pale and needed fresh air.

Our parents reluctantly agreed.

On departure day, I only brought the new phone.

As the car passed through the villa gates,

I tossed the old phone and a hidden recorder into the holly bushes.

The vehicle sped toward the rural highway.

A black van suddenly swerved from a side road.

Tires screeched, kicking up dust.

A burly man yanked the door open and clamped a hand over my mouth.

I was dragged into the van's backseat.

The entire operation was swift and silent.

Like it had been rehearsed countless times.

I didn't resist.

The curtain had only just risen on this performance.
