“I apologize for the delay, John,” Jean called out to a grinning bald elderly man as he got out of his car. “Hi, guys.” He waved at the two men standing beside a small aircraft.

“No worries, Doc,” John responded, dismissing Jean’s apology with a wave of his hand.

“All set?” Jean tossed his car keys to one of the two men.

“Yep.” John nodded as one of the two men climbed on board the aircraft whilst the other who had caught Jean’s keys, went to Jean’s car and opened his trunk.

“Come on, Brad.” Jean grinned at Bradley. Then he started for the small aircraft whose blades had started whirling.

Bradley watched as the man who’d popped open Jean’s trunk took out two bags. Whatever dinner date they were going on, Jean clearly didn’t plan on then coming back that night. He’d already suspected because of all the hints Ty had dropped earlier that day and how Jean had brought up the issue of safety precautions. But the aircraft did surprise him. They were at a private hanger that obviously belonged to the Broodys from the boldly written name on the building.

He didn’t even know that Jean could fly. If Jean’s current position…in the cockpit, was anything to go by, the man planned on flying them to wherever they were going. Sweet, Bradley thought as he climbed in beside Jean. At least he knew how to fly too so he could step in if Jean fucked up…which Bradley knew he wouldn’t.

When Jean turned to look at Bradley, Bradley couldn’t help but laugh. “Ready to tell me where we’re going now?” Bradley asked.

“Nope. Come here.” Jean leaned in as he beckoned Bradley with a finger. When Bradley met him across the space between them, Jean gave him a quick kiss and then waved at John and the two men who stood outside, watching them. “Here we go…”

“The fuck!” Bradley gasped when Jean landed expertly on a beautiful yacht that was in the middle of nowhere.

“What?” Jean asked as he began to shut down the engine.

“Err…your landing was flawless,” Bradley said.

“Liar.” Jean laughed as he took off his headset and opened his hatch. “You’re surprised at where I landed and not how I landed. Come on and say hello to Captain Thomas and his crew. Oh and the earlier you finish checking out the corners of this helideck, the earlier we can go down and have dinner.” Jean drawled, knowing that Bradley would definitely want to look around before they moved from where they were.

“Welcome Jean.” A pleasant-looking man who looked to be in his forties, laughed as he hugged Jean.

“Thank you, Tom. We finally made it. This is…”

“Bradley,” Tom said with a warm smile as he extended a hand to Bradley. “I was at the party.” He said by way of explanation. “Welcome on board The Genie.”

“Thanks, Tom.” Bradley turned to look at Jean. “The Genie?” He didn’t miss Tom’s amused laughter at his question.

“Never make the mistake of allowing your mother to name your yacht,” Jean muttered as he greeted a young man of about twenty-five and a pretty brunette of about twenty who held a tray with two glasses of champagne on it.

“Thank you,” Bradley said to the brunette as he accepted a glass of champagne. Then he turned back to Jean. “But…The Genie?” Bradley looked like he wanted to burst into laughter.

“I’ll be downstairs.” Tom laughed as he turned to go with the lady.

“We’ll be right down, Tom,” Jean responded before addressing Bradley. “I loved Aladdin when I was a kid.” Jean groaned and took a sip of his bubbly. “I would play silly pranks on my brothers and tell them I was the genie.”

“Right…”

“Bradley, really…” Jean gave Bradley a stern look. “If you give in to that laughter that’s dying to burst out, I’ll throw you overboard.”

“Thank god I’m a good swimmer.” Bradley grinned and then finally gave in to the laughter that had been simmering on the surface since hearing the name of Jean’s yacht. “Oh my god, I’m sorry…” He laughed even harder when Jean emptied his glass and started towards him with a mean scowl. “I’m sorry.”

Bradley tried to sound serious as he watched Jean give his glass to the young man who had remained with them on the helideck. But he just couldn’t hold in his laughter.

“You could have changed it.” Bradley held out a hand to stop Jean when he got to him but Jean wrapped an arm around Bradley’s waist, pushed down one side of his shirt collar, and began to suck up a mark on his neck. That took care of the laughter quickly. “Jean, stop.” Bradley moaned as his fingers slipped into Jean’s hair. “We are not alone.”

“Do I look like I care?” Jean murmured against Bradley’s skin, the vibration sending tingles through the soldier.

“Please…”

“Killjoy,” Jean muttered. “Better psych yourself up for some PDA, baby.” He lifted his head and rubbed a thumb against Bradley’s lower lip. “‘Cause those four people we’re on this yacht with, are not going anywhere. And next time, I’m not going to stop. Come on. I’m famished. You can check it out later.”

“I see only three people,” Bradley muttered as he followed Jean off the Helideck, down a stairway, and onto the deck below, where an intimate mini buffet had been set up for two. The lit-up candles and lanterns gave the entire setting a romantic and magical touch which Bradley thought was absolutely beautiful.

“And there’s the beautiful fourth. Hello, Agnes.” Jean hugged the petite lady who looked very happy to see Jean. “Meet my other twin.” He said to Bradley. “We were born in the same year, same month, but unfortunately, different dates.” Agnes laughed as she shook Bradley’s hand. “She was born a day before us.”

“But he’s still my twin,” Agnes said, linking an arm with Jean. “It’s so good to see you, Jean. Happy birthday.”

“Happy birthday to you too. I’ll give you your present in the morning, darling.” Jean took a seat. “What a lovely setting. Thanks.”

“For you, the very best, Papi. Enjoy.”

“This is some spread,” Bradley muttered, taking in the mini buffet that had been set very close to their table such that they didn’t have to stand to serve themselves.

“Yeah. Agnes outdid herself.” Jean chuckled as he poured them some red wine. “I haven’t eaten since that breakfast.” He said as he helped himself to some starters.

“Breakfast that we virtually had in the afternoon.” Bradley laughed.

“Well, if I remember correctly, the activities that immediately followed that meal ensured that all the energy that was derived from that meal drained right out,” Jean muttered, making Bradley laugh. “And I didn’t start it. Someone wanted to shake on…”

“Do you mind?” Bradley laughed. “We’re eating. And even if you didn’t start it, you ended it on a totally different energetic level so stop pointing fingers.”

“That was some level though, wasn’t it?” Jean smirked. “You couldn’t keep your eyes opened after that.”

“Oh, fuck off.” Bradley laughed. “This is not a small yacht. Any particular reason you decided to buy a yacht.”

“No particular reason. Dean got a plane so I didn’t think I needed to get one. I decided to get a yacht instead so that we could use it as and when we needed to have fun.” Jean shrugged. “It’s great for parties.” He gave a naughty grin. “Since I don’t use it all the time, it’s sometimes rented out to people and that gives me a lot of cash.”

“So that aircraft is Dean’s?” Bradley asked.

“Oh no, Dean’s is a bigger jet,” Jean said. “This one is for the family.”

“Well, I like this setting. Thanks.”

The two men enjoyed an unforgettable dinner under the beautiful stars and to the sounds of the ocean and gentle sea breezes. After dinner, Jean took Bradley around the plush luxury yacht, showing him its amazing interior.

The main saloon of the yacht had been meticulously designed to be a stunning entertaining space. There was a great place for guests, offering vast relaxation areas and even a bar. The dining area on board could seat up to ten guests with ease. More people could enjoy their meals on the various decks available. The yacht even had a gym to keep the guests in shape whilst out at sea. Its sleek kitchen was large enough for more than just one chef to work their magic. The bright and breezy cabins had classy décor that created a relaxing mood in the serene interior. The final room they entered was the Owner’s Suite. It was absolutely beautiful.
