Trapped by Him

Chapter 194

Patrick brought Sean along with him.

They were not familiar with the pack that they would cooperate with this time. If an accident happened, as a doctor, Sean could treat him in time.

"It's hard to deal with these guys," Sean complained to Patrick after meeting the members of the pack.

Patrick raised his wrist and glanced at the watch. Then, he said to Sean, "Let's go for lunch first."

They went to a nearby restaurant and sat down. Patrick crooked his finger to beckon Leonard behind him.

"Keep an eye on Parker. See who he has met," Patrick instructed.

Just as Patrick finished his words, Sean had a flash of inspiration. He said in surprise, "You mean someone in our pack is a mole?"

Patrick waved his hand at Leonard. "Go."

Then, he turned to Sean and said, "Don't you find it strange? We just met Parker today, but he seemed to have known our purpose. So I guessed that there might be a spy in our pack."

"When seeking cooperation, the worst case is that they already know our agenda." Sean looked serious.

"We must find the traitor among us, or he will be a ticking bomb," Patrick continued.

Sean got the hint and said, "Parker and the others will get information from the traitor and master the situation of the Black Thorn Pack. They will take advantage of the little problem in our pack and intensify the contradictions and the entire pack may be affected."

Sean was just making a simple conjecture, but the more he said, the more serious his expression became.

"For some reason, I am somewhat familiar with this method. Patrick, is someone trying to attack the Black Thorn Pack?"

"Yes, they've already made some moves." Patrick's expression was calm. He was not angry at all.

"Patrick, who are these people?" Sean asked anxiously.

"I don't know." Patrick didn't seem worried.

The food was served, and Patrick started eating. Sean looked at him. He couldn't believe that Patrick was still in the mood to eat in such a critical situation.

"Why are you still in the mood to eat?" Sean asked.

"Calm down." Patrick glanced at Sean and said slowly, "You need to stay calm."

"Patrick!" Sean glared at him angrily.

"Eat something. Or we won't have the strength to deal with them," Patrick comforted Sean.

The anxiety in Sean's heart gradually faded. He thought he didn't need to worry too much as Patrick was a resourceful person. Since Patrick said so, he must have had a plan already.

In Alpha's villa in Gabbs.

Gloria sneaked into Patrick's study while there was no one around.

She rummaged through the cabinet and her eyes were filled with anxiety.

'Where is it?' She became anxious.

"Luna Gloria, what are you looking for?" Kevin appeared at the door of the study silently.

Gloria was frightened, and the book in her hand fell to the ground.

She turned around in a panic and forced an unnatural smile. "Beta Kevin, I didn't know you were here."

Kevin stood quietly at the door and stared at Gloria without blinking. He asked in a flat tone, "Luna Gloria, you haven't told me yet. It's so late. What are you looking for in Alpha Patrick's study?"

Gloria swallowed nervously. She glanced at the bookshelf from the corner of her eyes and hurriedly said, "I can't sleep, so I came here to look for a book."

Kevin narrowed his eyes and asked calmly, "So, Luna Gloria, have you found a book you like?"

"Yes." Gloria smiled awkwardly and pointed to the ground. "This one is OK."

Kevin walked in and stood half a meter away from Gloria. He bowed and said, "Luna Gloria, it's late. You should go back to the bedroom and rest."

"Okay, I'll go now." Gloria turned around hurriedly and walked to the door. After passing Kevin, she heaved a sigh of relief that she finally managed to fool him.

Just as Gloria walked into the corridor, Kevin's voice rang out behind her.

"Luna Gloria, you forgot to take your book." Kevin's voice startled Gloria.

She stumbled and turned around. She looked at the book in Kevin's hand that had been picked up from the ground. She forced a smile. "Thank you."

She took several steps back, grabbed the book, and turned to leave.

Kevin walked to the corridor. He watched Gloria limp away until she disappeared from his sight.

He mind linked Patrick. Patrick had told him that he had to report Gloria's situation if something happened.

Patrick accepted Kevin's mind link immediately. Kevin said, "Ten minutes ago, Luna Gloria entered your study. She said she was looking for a book, but she left in a hurry and even forgot to take the book."

After that, Patrick ended the mind link. Kevin's words kept replaying in his mind. His eyes widened, and he was lost in thought.

Sean noticed that something was off with Patrick. He asked, "What happened to you? Who mind linked you just now?"

Patrick remained motionless. Suddenly, he raised his head and met Sean's eyes. He said with difficulty, "If a person's attitude has changed greatly, do you think it is because she compromised? If a person made a big mistake, would he be forgiven?"

The former Patrick mentioned was Gloria, while the latter was himself.

"I've been fooling myself," Patrick said dejectedly.

Gloria hated him so much and did not even want to see him. How could she suddenly change her attitude and be willing to face him peacefully?

For him, the past few days were just a dream, and he did not want to wake up from it.

Even Christine could figure it out, yet Patrick seemed to be blind to it.

Now, because of Kevin's report, he had to wake up from his dream. He could no longer deceive himself.

"We can't make up for what we missed, Patrick." Sean rarely talked to Patrick about Gloria. "It's time for you to give up."

Patrick's breathing quickened. Everyone could tell how sad and struggling he was.

"Sean, do you know?" Patrick took a sip of coffee, his hand trembling. He couldn't taste the coffee. He just wanted to hide his emotions.
