I nodded as I walked back to the dorm while still thinking about what happened last night. I still can't believe the things that ran through my mind that night.
I'm sure I heard a woman's voice inside my head, as if that voice controlled me and made me obey what she wanted to do. But what worries me is that the voice is so familiar. It's my voice, but it sounds creepy.
I shook my head to get rid of my negative thoughts. That's not me, I'm not a criminal to kill someone, I'm not a bad girl.
"Hi, Arrow." I looked up at the person blocking my path. I paled when I saw Reid smiling at me.
"H-Hello," I greeted back.
She grinned at me and smiled sweetly after. "Can you please lend me some help? I won't hurt you like before."
I flinched slightly as I looked at him. She sounds sincere but I don't know why I don't want to trust her. I can't trust her again because of what she did to me last time.
"R-Reid, what's the matter, I'm still going somewhere. Besides, my friends are already looking for me, maybe they're bored," I reasoned and was about to pass him but I was surprised when he pulled my arm.
"All right, Arrow, please? Wait a minute, you just have to bring these chemicals to the laboratory, then you can leave," he said with a smile.
Although I was still hesitant about the kindness he showed me, I just chose to agree with what he wanted. I didn't want to upset him because he might hurt me again.
I picked up the tray he was holding with only chemicals. I took good care of lifting it because I was afraid something would break or I would fall. It's better to be sure so he doesn't get mad at me.
"M-I'll be the first," I said goodbye to him.
"All right, thank you so much, Arrow. I'm sorry for what I did the last time, I'll get back to you, okay?" He tapped me on the shoulder but I thought I was moving away from him.
I bowed to him first before finally walking away from him. I carefully held the tray in my hand until I reached the Laboratory. The door was open so I just went straight inside.
When I put down the tray, I immediately noticed that no one was inside, maybe those here were busy. We have representatives in the Science Department who will fight internationally.
I was about to leave but was shocked when the door suddenly closed. I hurriedly went to the door and tried to open it. I tearfully turned the doorknob but it still wouldn't open.
"Help! Someone's inside here, please help me!" I cried.
I slammed the door so that in case anyone passed by, I could be heard inside. "Please, help me!"
I gasped when I heard a loud explosion behind me, I was even more depressed because of the rapid spread of smoke around that caused by that explosion.
I leaned against the wall in tears and sat down while waving my hand across my nose. There was more and more smoke around and it was starting to burn inside.
I still try to knock on the door while coughing, I feel like I'm starting to lose my breath. I don't want to die, yet.
Trembling I squeezed the door when something exploded inside again, the spread of the fire and the spread of smoke around it got worse. I feel something choking my neck because of the smoke I inhale.
I was backing away from the door when it opened, weeping as I watched the person enter from there. "F-Froze."
"Shit!" He lifted me quickly as if I were a fragile object.
I leaned on his chest as we exited the Laboratory. It feels so good in his arms, I feel safe when he's here, when we're together. I just want to be close to him like this.
I felt him lay me down on a chair, I could no longer see those around me because my eyes were blurring.
"Hey, my angel. Please look at me." It's his voice.
I tried to lift my hand to touch his face. I just want to be sure that he's really here. That I'm already safe.
"F-Froze," I tearfully promised as I touched his face.
He took my hand tightly and kissed it. "Yes, my angel? I'm here, I'm here. Don't cry."
I leaned on his chest as he hugged me. I closed my eyes tightly because of the feeling. The fear I felt vanished like a bubble as he hugged me.
"I'll bring you to the Hospital, alright? Please hold on, my angel. You'll be safe with me." That was the last I heard before I finally closed my eyes.
I CLOSE my eyes because of the light that greeted me when I opened my eyes. Pure white opened up to me so I knew where I was.
I turned to my side when I felt a presence there. I wasn't really mistaken because I saw Froze asleep while leaning next to me. I smiled while staring at his beautiful face.
I slowly raised my hand to caress his handsome face. "Why are you always saving me, Froze?"
He blinked slightly which made me smile. He's really handsome especially when I have this chance to look at him this close. I traced the curves of his face with my finger. So handsome.
I smiled sweetly at him when his eyes opened. He immediately reached out to me and kissed me on the forehead. "Thank you for waking up."
"Thank you for saving me too, Froze. I might die inside the laboratory if you don't come," I told him smiling.
He looked at me intently before nodding. "No matter how I try to understand the situation, I just can't find the right answer to why you're there inside," he said darkly.
I swallowed hard and smiled awkwardly. I know Reid was behind all of this. But I don't want any more trouble. "B-Suddenly the door closed, maybe the wind, then I was locked inside."
He mumbled before being forced to nod. "Just make sure you're telling the truth, Arrow. Because if I found out that you're lying to me, I'll kill the person who did this to you."
