Juliet Nollan
"It's beautiful." He took me to the top of the Empire State Building.
"I know you'll like it." He said and I took my phone out taking pictures of the beautiful view. His view is breahtaking but this so much more.
"This is just.. amazing." I said.
"Take a picture with me, we don't have any pictures together." He said and he wrapped his arms my waist from the back. We took some pictures and it was cute.
"Send it to me." He said.
"No."
"Juliet, can you please.. send the pictures to me?" He said and I chuckled nodding. I sent the to me and I put my phone back into my pocket. I was more into the view and the cold . It's like a dream come true.
My phone vibrated and I took it out from my pocket. I opened the notification and Darren just our pictures on Instagram. He didn't write any caption, he just posted everything and me.
"You never publish your relationship." I said and I looked up to me.
"How do you know about that?"
"Hanni." I said and he chuckled.
"She's right but I want to with you." I smiled and turned to the view again.
"Are you sure?"
"What do you mean with that question?"
"I mean what if we broke up?" I asked and he shook his head. I turned to my phone and that there's already a lot of people liking the photos. I'm scared to see the comments.
"I don't care about what people think about us but I want to show the world that you're mine." He and that made me look up to him.
"This is my first time.. to be in a relationship. I don't know.. how to express myself, let alone.. to be a good girlfriend.." I sighed and he chuckled. He pulled me into a hug and kissed the of my head.
"Just be you, it'll be enough for me."
"Cheesy.." I smacked him playfully.
After going to the Empira State Building, he took me somewhere that I have no clue. He parked car inside of a buildingn and have someone to take care of it. We got into the building with a to go straight to the rooftop.
"Are you taking me to all the rooftops here?" I asked curiously and he chuckled.
"If you want, I would but you'll see.." He said and I decided to just trust him. When we arrived at rooftop, we climbed up the stairs and walked out. I gasped when I saw a helicopter.
"We're going around New York with this." He said and he made me speechless.
"Hello Mr.Conte and Ms.Nollan, I'm James Halland. I'm going to be your pilot for today." I smiled.
"Thank you.." He gestured us to go inside. I got inside first and Darren helped with my seatbelt.
He put the helicopter headset on me and he put on his. He held my hand and I turned to him.
"Nervous?"
"Yes.. but excited."
"Hold me tight, okay?" He said and I nodded smiling. The pilot informed us that we will take off.
The butterflies in my stomach fly all of the sudden as the helicopter took off.
I gasped when I saw New York from a different angle and I love it immediately. My eyes never the beautiful night lights. James started to tour us around and I swear it might be the day of my life.
I've always love seeing beautiful scenery from high places. It gave me thrill and breathtaking . I'll spend money for it too.
After 30 minutes flying around, he landed us on a different building. I thanked James and he bid goodbyes to us. Darren held my hand as we got into the building.
"How was it?" Darren asked.
"It was.. beautiful, thank you!" I hugged him and he hugged me back but tightly.
"I took some photos, you can't stop smiling." He said as he pulled away. We got into the lift and pressed L for Lobby. He then took out his phone showing me all the photos that he took.
"Thank you." I said and he nodded. I gave him a kiss on the cheek.
"You're welcome." After we arrived at the lobby, his car was there already. He thanked the driver gave him some tip. I got into his car and put on the seatbelt.
"Where are we going after this?" I asked.
"It's either you want to go home or.. go to my place?" He smirked as he put his seatbelt on. I looking at him.
"How nice of you to give me choices.."
"You're lucky today." He said as he drove out from the building.
"Actually.. I want to take you somewhere." I said and I quickly put the address on the GPS and glanced at me skeptically.
"What is this place?"
"Trust me, you'll love it as much as I do." I said and he nodded. He followed the direction and we up in a small neighborhood.
"What is this place?"
"My getaway, park the car." I said and he parked the car right away. I got out from it and walked the only one cafe in the neighborhood. I greeted the owner and ordered two drinks.
Darren stood beside me as he looked around. Once I got our drinks, we walked up to the 3rd and when I opened the door, I turned around to see his reaction.
"A rooftop garden?" He said as he took a step down.
"Yes, I always come here when I'm sad or I just need to take a break." I said as I sat on the facing the empty road. Darren sat beside me and I gave him the drink.
"You'll love it, it's refreshing." I said and he took a sip. He gave me a small nod before continue drink it.
"You always come here alone?"
"Yes." I said as I looked up to the sky.
"I knew the owner because I helped her once and she offered me to buy me a coffee. She me to this garden and let me use it." I added and I took a sip.
"I have questions." He said and I turned to him glaring.
"Can.. can I ask you some questions?" He asked and I nodded.
"Before Wesley found you, have you ever thought of wanting to find your family?"
"Yes, I've been collecting money for it and worked so hard to find them."
"Can you tell me more about your life before.. you know the Nollans?"
"Well.. I've always work to be able to eat and live. I've struggled all my life and all I wanted was find my family. I was alone and always got jealous with other people who have family. I never to be rich or to be famous, I just want to have someone who cares for me and be there me." I said as I looked up to the sky.
"How's your relationship with your family now?" He asked and I turned to him.
"Well.. still awkward but the progress is pretty good. It felt weird to.. be able to lean on to my and Wesley. Not to mention that they showered me with gifts and unlimited money."
Darren nodded and I turned back to the night sky.
"I'm grateful.. for everything. I felt loved, safe and.. full." I added and I took a sip of my drink.
