Trapped by Him

Chapter 180

Patrick threw her onto the bed. Before Gloria could sit up, the bed sank in beside her. She looked up. Patrick was sitting on the edge of the bed, and one of his hands was lifting her left leg.

Gloria's face suddenly turned pale. She couldn't help but look toward the door.

There were so many people at the door. Did he want to have sex in front of everyone?

With such a possibility in mind, Gloria's face turned sullen. She stretched out her leg to kick Patrick.

Then, Patrick tightened his grip on her ankle.

He turned his head and glanced at her with a warning in his eyes.

Gloria's heart skipped a beat. She gritted her teeth and suppressed the urge to kick him.

Patrick held her ankle with his slender fingers and slowly lifted her foot.

This action made Gloria feel embarrassed. She bit her lower lip, and her face blanched.

'Patrick, if you want to humiliate me, there's nothing I can do!' Gloria was desperate.

At this moment, she wanted to die or tear the man in front of her into pieces.

She simply closed her eyes, but those humiliating looks still lingered in her mind.

She couldn't help but tremble.

"I'm begging you." She had developed the habit of begging for mercy in the werewolf prison for three years. Now, she was about to do it again.

Just as she opened her mouth, she suddenly became sober. She grabbed the bed sheet under her and realized she didn't want to beg him.

Her body was still trembling violently. She knew that even if she could stop herself from begging for mercy, her wretched body would react like a slave. This was a habit she developed in the werewolf prison.

She tried her best to convince herself. 'Gloria, look up. There is no need to be afraid. This is not a big deal.' She wished that she could control her body as well as the way she controlled her mind.

She bit her lip harder. Only by doing so, could she hold back her pleading words.

She closed her eyes hopelessly, allowing Patrick to raise her leg slowly under everyone's gaze at the door.

However, the humiliation didn't come as Gloria expected. She heard Patrick's deep and slightly reprimanding voice. "Don't let me see you running away again."

Patrick said as he put down Gloria's leg. If she knew how to take care of herself, why would he be mad at her?

He glanced at her feet again with cold eyes. "Where are your shoes?"

Gloria followed his gaze and looked over and remembered that just now she had hurried out of bed, desperate to find Patrick to pour out her long-simmering rage. And she ran out of the room barefooted.

Was he checking her feet just now?

Gloria felt absurd at such a thought.

"I need you to dress her up in half an hour." Patrick raised his wrist and glanced at his watch. He left after giving the order in a low voice.

Gloria's expression changed when she heard this.

"Wait a minute!" She reached out and grabbed his sleeve.

Patrick looked down at his sleeve and her hand. Finally, he fixed his eyes on her face.

Gloria was flustered.

"Is there anything else?" Patrick asked in a magnetic voice.

"I don't want to go!" She insisted.

One of her hands tugged at his sleeve desperately, as if trying to prove how determined she was. She repeated, "I don't want to go."

"Give me a reason." Patrick didn't understand why she had to be so stubborn.

"I just don't want to," Gloria said stubbornly.

"That's not a good reason," Patrick said coldly.

"I'm afraid of the cold." She lowered her eyes. Her eyelashes blocked the light in her eyes.

A soft laugh came from above her head. Then, Patrick ruffled her hair and said softly, "I want to hear the real reason."

"I'm afraid of the cold." Gloria lowered her head.

Patrick's laughter came from above her again. He patted her head as if she was his pet. Then, he pulled her hand away from his sleeve and left.

Patrick's footsteps gradually faded away. Damon said respectfully, "Alpha Patrick, you may rest assured."

Patrick was about to leave the bedroom.

Gloria panicked. She suddenly raised her head and shouted in a hoarse voice, "I just don't want to go! Isn't that a good reason?"

Patrick didn't turn around, but his deep voice penetrated Gloria's eardrums. "Gloria, don't try to escape. You need to open your heart and meet with people, just like how you did before."

Patrick didn't know that behind him Gloria had a pale face as if she had been drained of blood. Her eyes were filled with fear.

Gloria hated the feeling of being seen through. It was especially true for someone so broken inside.

She thought that she hid her fear well, but he saw her through at once.

Gloria felt bitter in her mouth as she looked at Patrick's back at the door.

Damon glanced at Gloria in the room meaningfully. He turned around and said to Samantha, the stylist, "Alpha Patrick prefers women to dress in white dresses."

Gloria suddenly raised her head and looked at Damon. He did it on purpose!

Gabrielle preferred white dresses.

"I don't like white dresses!" Gloria resisted.

Damon grinned strangely and stared at Gloria. She felt his malice from this seemingly respectful smile.

"Then, I'll leave Miss Carter here," Damon said and walked out.

Gloria remained silent the entire time.

"Miss Carter, please change into this dress." Samantha handed her a white dress.

She almost screamed to refuse. "I don't want it! I don't like the white dress!"

"Miss Carter, please calm down. You look good in white. Every girl should have a white dress. Try it, and I promise you will like it," Samantha suggested.

"I don't like it! I don't want this color! Can't you hear me? I don't like white dresses!" Gloria was exasperated.

If not for Damon's malicious words, she would have accepted the white dress.

However, after she understood Damon's malicious intentions, this white dress became something disgusting in her eyes.

Why did she have to wear the dress that Gabrielle liked?

She didn't want to be a substitute for that woman!

"Miss Carter!" Samantha was out of patience, and she did not know Gloria's past. She only thought that Gloria wasn't good-looking, she didn't have a good figure, and she had a bad temper.

In Samantha's eyes, Gloria was just an unreasonable woman who got lucky and was chosen by Patrick.

Moreover, Patrick wasn't very gentle or considerate in front of Gloria.

Therefore, Samantha ignored how Gloria felt.
