Summer Nolan

"Morning!!" Hanni threw her body to my bed waking me up.

"Go away.." I hissed as I tried to go back to sleep.

"Today is a brand new day, Summer." She squealed and I threw a pillow to her. She giggled and

I kept my eyes close.

"You need to wake up.."

"What time is it?" I asked as I pulled my blanket but Hanni pulled it away from me.

"It's eleven." I jumped out of bed in horror and turned to the clock. It's really eleven and she my hand.

"No! You don't have to work anymore.." She said and I sighed. She's right, not that I'm a Nollan because I got fired from all of my jobs. It's all because if Darren Asshole Conte.

"But I need-"

"Summer, stop! For once, please stop.. your family is rich. Richer than mine to be exact and you want to work? You need to live your life a little." She said and I pulled my hand. She laid on bed smiling widely.

"Yes, my family is rich but still.. it's a habit and I need to go to work and school." I said as I to my closet.

"Summer." Hanni called me and I turned to her.

"What?"

"Listen, it's time to slow down. You went through a lot already and now you have the opportunity take a step back, you should take it." Hanni said as she got off the bed.

"But-"

"No buts, let's just go to class and have fun? How's what sound?" She raised her eyebrows and

I nodded. She helped me pick out my outfit. I got ready in 30 minutes and we walked down.

There's already a black luxury car waiting for us.

"Hello girls." The door opened revealing my mom. She walked towards me and gave me a hug.

She greeted Hanni too.

"Where are you two going?" She asked.

"College." I answered.

"Get in, let me drop you two." She gestured me and I turned to Hanni.

"Hanni has a car and usually I-" Hanni put her hand on my mouth and smiled to my mom.

"I know, honey. Let me drop you both today, please.." Hanni pinched me and I glared at her.

"Okay." I said and we got into the car.

"So when will you finish school? Do you have a lot of free time?" Mom asked.

"Around 4 and yes. I do have a lot of free time but I'm going to-"

"Mrs. Nollan, you need to stop her from take part time jobs. She has been working hard all of years and she needs a break so you need to stop her from taking part time jobs again.

She never have fun and always ditch me! She's 20 but never go out.." I tried to stop Hanni from but she held my hands tightly.

"Thankyou for telling me, Hanni." She smiled to Hanni and I tried to avoid mom's eyes.

I did have a tough life but I was happy. Even though I complained a lot, I did learn a lot of things.

It's still weird for me to understand the fact that I'm the daughter of one of the richest in the US.

"You're missing out in life, Summer. I should have find you sooner and I will make sure you live life from now on." I turned to her and I don't want her to blame herself. I wanted to say it but phone rang and it's Wesley.

"It's your brother, you should answer it." Mom said.

"Hello." I said as I picked up.

"Morning, sunshine."

"Morning."

"Is mom there?"

"Yes, she's here. Why?"

"Where are you going today?" He asked curiously.

"College."

"Right! I forgot about that, I want to tell you that dad already told Darren to come and teach you 4 today. Darren has no clue about you and I can't tell dad about what happened between you Darren. Will you okay with that?" I bit my bottom lip before closing my eyes sighing.

"Yeah sure."

"See you later, sister. We'll have dinner together after that."

"Okay."

"Bye." He hung up.

"What did he say?" Mom asked curiously.

"Darren is going to teach me-"

"Ugh! I already discussed that with your dad but he didn't listen. We just got our daughter back he's already throwing you into his business world." Mom hissed completely annoyed. She her phone out and I'm sure she's going to call dad. I stopped her.

"It's okay. I'm okay."

"When?" Hanni said.

"4 pm."

"I'll drop you later." She smiled.

"Thank you."

"Oh! Before I forgot.." She took out a black purse and gave it to me. She gestured me to open it.

I opened it and there's 10 cards in there. I turned to her disbelief and she let me know the to it by typing it on her phone.

"You can buy anything you want. Cars, bags, purses, shoes, dresses. There's no limit to this so you can use it freely." She pointed at the black card and I turned to Hanni. She smiled .

"But.. I-"

"No buts.. we took care of everything for you. You can live comfortably now, no need to think anything." She smiled.

"Thank you but this is too much. I don't think I will use it."

"Oh look.. we're here!" Mom said and with that she kicked us out. She left without saying a word I turned to Hanni.

"Let's go.." Hanni chuckled seeing me still so confused. We got into class and I barely listened it. I was still in shock with everything.

I went from always thinking about money to have no limit for money in a blink of an eye. After finished class, Hanni called her driver. She dropped me at my dad's office.

"See you tomorrow!" I thanked her and stood in front of the building still amazed. I walked into lobby and felt a little overwhelmed.

"You must be Summer." I jumped a little to see a man in navy suit standing beside me smiling .

"I'm Ben, your father's secretary." He introduced himself.

"Hello, Ben."

"Here's your pass to go in and out and let me lead you to your father's office." He gave me a card with my name in it. He lead me to the lift and went up to the 17th floor.

"Summer." As soon as the lift door opened, my dad greeted me. He opened his arms and I gave a hug.

"Thank you, Ben." I smiled.

"Thanks, Ben." My dad said and Ben closed the lift.

"Have you eat?" He asked as he led me to his office.

"I did eat lunch with Hanni."

"Okay, good. Darren will come in 20 minutes." He said as he looked at his watch.

"Okay."

"Is there anything you want, Summer?" He asked.

"Uhmm, no." I shook my head and he raised his eyebrows.

"A car? A new bag? Shoes? Perfume?" He asked and I shook my head.

"I don't want anything."

"If you want something, you can ask me. I'll buy it for you right away." He smiled and I nodded.

He introduced me to some of his employees and then he made me leave my bag in his office.

He told me to bring my phone and go down a couple floors.

I went down and as soon as the lift door opened, my brother already waiting for me.

"Hey." He hugged me and I chuckled.

"Hey."

"Are you sure that you're okay with meeting Darren?" He asked.

"I'll be okay. I don't want mom and dad to know that I hate him."

"Right." He ruffled my hair.

"When will he come? Did you tell him about me or he doesn't know?"

"He doesn't know it yet, I just asked him to teach someone and he agreed." Wesley smirked and

I rolled my eyes.

"He agreed that fast?"

"Of course not." He chuckled.

"What did you tell him?"

"Telling him that I'm introducing him to a beautiful girl." I glared at him and his phone rang.

"It's Darren, go sit in my office." He pointed at the blackdoor at the end of the hallway." I nodded walked towards his office. I got inside and there's a lot of photos of him and my parents.

Then I found my baby photo.

"You're nervous?" I heard Wesley's voice and I stood there facing the door.

"Darren meet Summer." Wesley said as he opened the door and when Darren's eyes met mine, eyes turned cold.

"Hello, Darren." I smirked.

"What the hell are you doing here?"
