Abbie's POV

I woke up this morning sore and naked, tired and cranky, yes... I'm not a morning person, but I will get up if necessary.

On the other hand, Hunter was up and about, dressed sexy, playing loud music in the shower as he finished getting ready.

He had numerous meetings today, but he still made it for breakfast with me. We sat with Brandon and Bella, and let me tell you... it's a breakfast that I will never forget. I finally got my chance to say thank you to my savior, and it was awesome. I feel so joyful right now that nothing can ruin my day.

"OK, love. I have to get going. Alarick and Maiden are waiting for us to get the meeting started. I will see you later, ok?" Hunter says as he cups my face and kisses my lips, making me smile.

"Oooohhhh!" I hear a few girls whistling and shooting as they pass by near us, making me chuckle. My cheeks blush, making Hunter smile, placing another kiss on my lips. "Ok. Hurry!" I say, making him wink.

He and Brandon leave, making me sigh as I see his broad shoulders move as he strides away.

"Abbie, I will go check on some of my members before we leave for our pack. Will you be ok?" Bella asks, placing her hand on my shoulder, making me smile.

"Of course. I will head out to the infirmary to check on my friend." I say, smiling at her.

"Great. I'll see you later, ok?" she says, hugging me and leaving soon after.

I made my way to the infirmary, smiling and greeting everyone there.

"So what are you going to do? Are you going to talk to him?" Marissa asked as I sat next to her in the infirmary. She was getting ready to leave despite the doctor's protest. He had asked her to stay another day to ensure she was safe and sound, but she, of course, was too stubborn.

"I don't know. I mean, a part of me wants to ask Armand about my real mom. But what about my mom now? I love my parents. I... mmmh... I don't know what to do, Marissa." I said, dropping my shoulders and sighing as I looked out the window.

"I know. But maybe Hunter is right. It would help if you talked to him. This will bring closure to the two of you. I know your dad was a bad guy, Abbie, but... I feel bad for him. He looked horrible. The doctor came in earlier today; I saw the pictures from last night's party. He did not look like the same guy we once knew." she adds, making me pursed my lips in agreement.

"Yeah. No kidding. He looked like he was at least a few hundred years old. I mean, I saw the pictures of Livie's father in law... Lucian?" I asked, hoping I remembered his name right.

"Livie showed me pictures of him holding his grandbabies. From what I know, he's about four hundred years old, and he looks like he's in his forties. If he was human, of course." I said, stating the obvious, making her chuckle.

"Yeah. No kidding. Did you know he's best friends with the king of our region? The guy is what... three thousand years old! He looks like he's in his early thirties. And my goddess, he's so freaking sexy!" she says, making me chuckle.

But she wasn't wrong. Werewolf royals tend to age even slower and are much more powerful. "He's three-thousand and five, to be exact, and still counting." I hear Spencer's voice from the door, making us turn.

Marissa gasps, with her mouth wide open in shock. "No way! Are you serious?" she asks, making me chuckle.

"Yes, ma'am. He will be turning the-thousand and six this upcoming fall. And our alpha and Luna are invited to the ball to celebrate his birthday." he adds, making my eyes widen in shock.

"Wait. Really?" I asked excitedly, standing up and biting my bottom lip as I grabbed Marissa's bag and helped her close it as I realized she was struggling with her bandaged arm.

"Yes, Luna. You and our alpha have been personally invited to attend by our royals," he adds, making Marissa squeal.

"Girl, you have to take me. I mean... if it's possible," she asks, getting blushed. I giggle, nodding at her. "I'm sure we can," I add, making her smile as I wink at her.

"Anyway. Alpha Hunter asked me to stop by and give you your belongings if you wanted to go out with Miss Marissa. He got held up in a meeting, but he asked for me to give this to you and to tell you that he will be picking you up by six in the afternoon for dinner." he says, handing me a black gift bag and leaving before I say another word.

"Wait, but..." I ask, but he closes the door behind himself and leaves.

Marissa and I look at each other, puzzled. I didn't forget anything before I left this morning. At least, I didn't think so.

I had an excellent breakfast with Brandon and Bella. I said a million thank you as I explained to them about what I had gone through after he saved me.

Bella and I were, of course, a mess of tears, but Hunter and Brandon were gentlemanly enough to allow me to open up and express myself.

I cleared my throat and placed the bag on top of the small table, opening it up. It was a bit heavy, so I wasn't sure what was inside. "What the heck did I forget? Have my phone on me, my wallet, my..." I gasped as I saw a black box inside. I opened it, and inside, I found a beautiful new phone. The screen was so shiny and clean. The back was a beautiful rose gold with tiny crystals, like diamonds, lining the phone's sides.

"Oh my goddess... Abbie! That is a pink diamond smartphone. Holy shit... I never thought... that is such a beauty!" Marissa says as she grabs the phone and glances at it, admiring the shimmery diamonds.

"But the diamonds are not real. Right? They're... They're fake."

"Oh, they're real alright. My Goddess, Hunter went and outdid himself for you, babes. This phone is gorgeous! And so freaking expensive." she adds, tilting her head with eyes wide open in shock.

"What else is in there? A diamond ring?" she asks, wiggling her eyebrows, making me roll my eyes. I felt my cheeks heating, making me hope not. It's too soon for him to give me a ring; what am I thinking?

"Maybe there is," Merida adds, making my stomach flutter.

"It's too soon for that, Merida. You know that."

"He's your mate. And he claimed you last night, Abbie. It is not too early for a ring." she says, making my cheeks heat up more.

I open the bag and see an envelope inside, making me tilt my head quizzically. I lift the envelope and glance at it, seeing it had no words. But, it felt like a card, so perhaps.

"Oh, yes... I think it's my new debit card." I said, smiling. I mean, all I had in my account was forty freaking dollars... it's forty freaking dollars I can use. So, I tore the envelope open and took the card out with a smile.

"I..." I looked at the card with my mouth open and eyes wide in shock. "Oh... shiny!" Marissa says, but all I could do was begin to see red in anger.

"Hunter!" I yelled, making Marissa jump a little. I know he heard me. We are creaking mated! How dare he? He placed me in his damn joint account. Exactly what I told Darren not to do!

"Baby... I know what it looks like, ok? But we're mates. What's mine is yours, and yours is mine, remember? That's how it works!" he says through our mind link, making me angrier, all while Merida and Black chuckle.

"Mine and yours, my ass, Hunter! Why didn't you ask me about this first? What if I had said no to our mating bond, huh? What if I had taken off and left you bankrupt? Did you think about that? Huh?" I asked through our mind link, pacing back and forth and gripping the card tightly.

"Well, I doubt you'd do that, baby. For one- I know you're not a gold digger. Two, you are not that kind of girl. Three, you didn't leave, and four,"

"Hunter Black, you should have asked me. Do you have any idea what that makes me look like?"

"It makes you look like my Luna, Abbie. My mate. I'm just making things right. This is what you deserve. Now can you stop your fucking tantrum and enjoy? Let me pamper you, babe. Besides, you have a long road by my side. You'll need the card to go and enjoy your days off, to do the things you need." he says through our mind link, making me close my eyes and grunt.

"Hunter, I....uggh. You're unbelievable, you know that? I don't need you to pay my every move. I don't need you to spoil or buy me expensive stuff."

"Abigail, you're my Luna. And you need to get used to this life. True, these are all useless materials, but I expect you to take the good and the bad. Good days are coming, just as I know bad and hard days will come. Listen, the card is yours; whether you use it or not, it is only yours. Go and take a spa day with your family, go on a shopping spree, and pay your damn tuition, I don't know... it's yours, and it's limitless. Just... don't be mad. I was just trying to let you see I wanted you to be part of my life." he says, making me drop my shoulders as his voice softens.

"Goddess, Hunter... You're hopeless. Seriously." I say, making him sigh.

"I love you," I say, and instantly, I feel his happiness, making my lips tug into a smile.

"Awe... you two are so sweet. I think I just barfed a little," Merida says, making Hunter burst into laughter.

"Ok, ok. I have to get back to my meeting love. I'll pick you up for dinner, ok? I love you." he says, closing our mind link. I grunt, close my eyes, and sit on the edge of the bed.

I couldn't help but stare at the shiny new black card with my name. It did look pretty, to be honest. I never in my wildest dreams thought I'd ever be holding one of these. But Hunter knows I will not accept his money if I am ever to use it; it will only be if I make money myself, so I'm determined... if I am to become Luna, I must take the necessary steps to be the best Luna possible.

"Holy crap, Abbie! Did you just agree to be Hunter's Luna?" Merida asks, hauntingly, chuckling in my head and making me roll my eyes.

"Yeah, yeah. Whatever. Do we have a choice now? He just marked me last night, remember?" I recorded back, making her chuckle even harder.

"And you loved it. Didn't you?" she asks, making my stomach flutter. Indeed... I loved every moment of it. And I can't wait to be with him again.
