Abbie's POV
After Analise and Luna Mandy ate breakfast with me, Analise went back home to meet her grandma. They had a big order today for one of our high schools. There was a big football game happening, and the school had placed a massive order of cupcakes. To help Agnes and Analise, I asked some of the omega girls to go and help them.
Surprisingly, they were more than happy to help her. I'm glad not everyone looks down on her, but I still need to ta;k to those teen girls and set things straight. The last I want is for them to think their behavior toward Analise is ok.
"Abbie, dear, I'm a little worn out today. Would you be ok if I went to take a little rest?" Luna Mandy asked as I went over a few documents with her. I don't have a lot of experience with Luna's duties, but I am learning fast, and I was more than happy to let her leave to go rest.
"Not at all. I'm almost done, so you can go ahead and rest if you'd like." I replied, making her smile.
"I'm so proud of you, sweetie. You're learning this rather quickly. Hunter was right; you were the perfect Luna for the job." she says, making me blush.
"Thank you, Luna Mandy. If it's ok with you, I'm going to go out for lunch today. Lily hasn't been out of her room, so I thought I'd invite her out for lunch today." I said, making her shoulders drop with a big smile.
"That sounds great, honey. But... please be patient with her. I'm not sure if she's ready to be out in front of so many people for so long."
"Don't worry. I will stay close to her at all times."
" I know you will take good care of my baby. Thank you, Abbie. I'll see you later, ok?" she says, standing up and hugging me.
I finished my work and then did a few more paperwork, trying to finish as much as possible so that Hunter's work didn't pile up so much while he was out. I then went to Lily's room, where I begged her for a while but finally got her to go out with me to have lunch.
I allowed her to pick, and we ended up at a Chinese fast food place inside our mall. We enjoyed eating quietly for the most part, talking and joking around. Then we did a little shopping, and to my surprise, Lily actually had a good time. She bought new shower gels and soaps with nice scents and bought herself new skirts, a few long-sleeved shirts, and sweaters.
Her wardrobe had changed so much. She was so conservative, didn't like showing her body, yet still dressed pretty chic.
"I'm getting a little exhausted. How about a cup of coffee before we head back home?" I suggested, making her sigh.
"Yes, please. My feet are actually killing me. I haven't walked this long in such a long time." she says, making me chuckle.
We made our way to a small coffee shop and ordered coffee for the two of us. Of course, I couldn't look over the fact that Henry was following us around, by orders of Hunter, of course. So, I got him a nice big cup of iced coffee and a big turkey and ham sub with the works, setting it in front of him three tables away from us.
His eyes went wide as he saw the coffee in front of him, "thank you, Luna. You didn't have to."
"I know I didn't. But you've been following us all day, and don't think I didn't realize you didn't eat earlier. So eat up. We'll be here until you're done eating, so take your time."
He smiled from ear to ear, grabbed the sub with both hands and dug right in. "No onions! Thank you, Luna," he says as he opens it slightly, making me chuckle.
"I mind-linked Hunter and asked him. I wasn't sure how you liked it, and I didn't want to bother you on duty so much. Thanks for looking out for us, Henry." I said as I nodded.
"Luna, it's an honor for me to look out for you and... Lily," he says, gulping down, lowering his sight.
"My pleasure," I say, looking at him curiously. "What was that?" Merida asks, making me pensive.
"I don't know. That was odd, right?"
"Sounds to me like maybe... Henry has a thing for Lily... or they're mates," she asks, making me stop in my tracks and look over my side toward him.
"You think so?" I ask, looking toward Lily, who I now realize is stealing a few glances at Henry.
"Oh, Lily," I say, feeling slightly sad for them. Lily is still scared; she went through so much, and it's no surprise that she might feel unsafe around any guy other than Hunter.
Henry was a gentleman, and he respected Lily. But I can't help but wonder... how he can handle being away from her like this, knowing they are possibly mates.
I didn't want to ask her about the subject, though. When she's ready, and if she ever wants to talk about it, I will be there for her.
"Do you miss him? Hunter, I mean. How is it being away from your mate for so long? Are you... handling it ok?" she asked timidly, glancing at me and stealing a quick glance toward Henry.
"She is so damn adorable. For fucks sake, Abbie, help a girl out." Merida says through our mind-link.
"Shut up, Merida. She's not ready. She is still trying to cope with her trauma. Don't push it for now." I say, making her grunt. "I guess... but I'm just saying. I mean, look it us? I miss my little Titus, his silky fur, and wet kisses. I miss running with him and playing around by the lake." she says, making me chuckle slightly as I sip my coffee.
I sigh, placing my cup down. "I miss him terribly if I'm being sincere. My bed feels way too big without him there, and it's missing his warmth. This morning, I woke up thinking I'd hear the shower running and was sad when I remembered he wouldn't be back until tomorrow. I miss him, Lil. I miss him a lot. Having a mate makes you feel whole. It fills that void you didn't think was empty. It makes you realize you were not complete without him. He's... my everything." I say sighing.
She looked at me, fighting tears in her eyes. She gulps down, looks away, clears her throat, and wipes away her tears quickly.
"The moon goddess greatly blessed you and Hunter. Unlike many of us who got stuck with a mate that," she says, closing her eyes and clenching her jaw.
"Lily, I know your mate mistreated and took advantage of you. A rejection must have been really hard, especially after all the torture he caused you. But... it's okay to let go of all that. Not every man is the same. Some are protectors, saviors, and if given the chance, can be loving mates, like Hunter and... Henry." I said, shrugging my shoulders.
She looks at me in shock, her mouth slightly agape. "How did you,"
"I can see the way you both look at each other with love in your eyes. Lily, I know it's hard, and I can see Henry has respected your boundaries. He will not make any move until you are ready, and no matter how hard it may seem, remember that the first step is the hardest to recover. We are here for you, Lily; we will always be here to bring you all the support you need." I say, holding her hand and squeezing it slightly, making her sob silently.
She looks away, wiping away her tears. "Thank you, Abbie. If you don't mind, I... I need to go to the restroom for a bit." she says, standing up and walking away quickly, making Henry stand abruptly.
I stand up, gesturing for him to remain calm. "It's ok. She's just going to the restroom; I will make sure she's ok." I say through our mind link, making him look toward her with concern.
I am close to the restroom when I bump into none other than the prime witch herself, my sister, Tara, and two other girls shopping with her.
"Well, well... look who we got here, girls. The runt of our old pack turn alpha's slut. How are you, little sister? Having fun with my leftovers?" she says, making my blood boil. "Yeah, Abigail... How does it feel to sleep with a man who has slept countless times with your sister? Doesn't it make you feel a bit awkward knowing he was with her first?" the girl on the right says, widening my smile.
"You must feel a bit inferior knowing he may be thinking of me when he's screwing you, right, little sister? Don't worry, though; I can always take him back if you don't want to deal with those thoughts." Tara adds, making me chuckle slightly.
Did she really think I would still believe her stupid lies? I know the truth now, all those lies about her screwing Hunter were all false, but I'm surprised she still wants to act like they were true. So, I decided to have a little fun.
"Tara... my dear big sister. I must say, I was at first... a little sad." I say as I step, cross one of my hands over my chest, and tap my index over my chin with my other hand.
"You see. I thought, surely Tara being the big pack whore that she is... she has to have lots... and lots of experience sexually. How will I ever be able to satisfy Hunter?" I say, shrugging my shoulders, making her stupid smile widen.
"I have to thank you, though. You see, thanks to you and all the slutty things you thought, Hunter, I can enjoy him fucking my brains out every night." I say, with a big smile on my face, making her friends, and her eyes widen in surprise to my retort.
"Oh yes, big sis. You thought him so well. He's the best fuck I have ever had. And he's so insatiable, my goddess. He can never have enough. You," I say, pointing at her. She looks at my finger and growls annoyingly.
"Are a great teacher. He can never have enough of me. I mean, he is ready to go no matter the time. Thanks to you, I can enjoy Hunter screwing me in our bed, bending me over at his desk, in the shower, in our living room, and anywhere he wants, for that matter; my favorite, though, has to be the shower, while he's eating me out... he is so damn skillful with that tongue. He basically bends me over and fucks me anywhere he wants, and he... is so damn good!" I say almost in a whisper as I get to her ear.
"So thank you, big sister. Because now I get to enjoy a wonderful man who knows exactly how I want to be fucked. And he is so... so damn good." I say, closing my eyes and sigh. "And don't worry, him thinking of you is no biggy... I can always make him forget you. I, mean I must be doing something good if he moans my name out when I'm going down on him too. Right?" I say winking.
"Anyway. Good seeing you guys. Have fun spending your sugar daddy's money." I walk away, waiving at them with delight in my heart.
If Tara thought she would still come and make me feel inferior. Guess what? I'm not the same stupid little girl anymore. I will defend my man and stand by his side no matter what. And neither Tara nor any other female will come between us. But she should know by now that provoking the Luna is a dangerous thing to do. And I will not sit around with crossed arms. Not anymore.
