Abbie's POV

I exited the restaurant and smiled as I saw Hunter speaking with an elderly lady. It was the owner of the restaurant, Analise's grandma. I hate to say it, but I'm sorry, I'm bad with names sometimes. I haven't seen this lady in so long that I can't remember her name, but I do know... she was the nicest person ever.

She nods, smiling, and Hunter takes her hand, kissing the back of her hand, making her chuckle. "Thank you, Alpha. Again, it's been a great honor to cook for you and our new Luna this evening."

"Agnes, the pleasure is all mine. Abbie has been dying to come back here. My dad would be proud to see this place still running. It's always been one of his favorite spots." he says, making her smile.

"Mine too. Miss Agnes, thank you so much for tonight. I enjoyed every bite." I chimed in, making her turn with a surprised expression. "Oh, Luna. It's so good to see you. My.... You've grown so much. I always knew you two would end up together. I just knew it." she says, grabbing my hand and smiling.

I smiled at Hunter, and he winked at me, making my stomach flutter.

"Agnes, we'll be on our way now. You have a great evening," he says as he holds his hand out for me with a smile.

"Very well. I hope to see you both back here again soon. My doors are always open for you, alpha. Luna, may our goddess always bless you." she says, making my heart swell. She was always one of the nicest ladies in this entire pack.

I look back as she turns on her heel and leaves. Analise stands by the door with her hands crossed in front of her. She waives toward me with a slight smile, and I waive back, brightening her smile. Once her grandma is close, she opens the door for her and helps her in.

I turn and see Hunter look at me with intrigue. "What?" I ask, smiling.

"Nothing. Nothing," he says as he opens the door to his car and lets me slide in. Once inside, he starts the car and sighs. "She's really nice, you know," I say, making him clench his jaw and his hands grip the steering wheel.

"What did she say to you?" he asks, feeling a little uncertain.

"Everything you said. She felt humiliated and embarrassed for following you like a lost puppy." I say, making him hum, nodding his head.

"Did you know some of the girls here are bullying her?" I ask, making his eyebrows furrow.

"What? No. Impossible. Henry and Alonzo would have told me otherwise."

"It's true. Also, since she's human, she didn't know any better. She thought you were her mate based on your smell, and the fact that you're super sexy, of course." I say, making him chuckle.

"I get it. I... I do feel I was a bit hard on her. But, I was unaware of what she was going through. I've been so busy with pack work and meetings that I haven't really been around here much. I'll have to talk with my beta and gamma about this later. But, it makes me wonder if my mother knew. Surely, she had to have taken matters into hand if she knew. My pack knows better than to bully each other. I have no tolerance for any of these misbehavior."

"Is it weird that I felt a connection with her?" I say, making him chuckle as he continues to drive. "Not at all, baby. You're my Luna. Your connection to the pack will only strengthen over time. And once the Luna ceremony takes part, you'll be even more connected with them." he says, looking at me and winking again.

God, that wink. He makes me feel like jumping his... geesh... I'm so hormonal suddenly, what the heck is wrong with me?

I fan my face, feeling hot, and I suddenly realize he's become tense, gripping the steering wheel tighter. "Oh-oh!" Merida says, making me puzzled.

"What?" I ask her, "You're going into heat again, Abbs. And... I have a feeling he's noticed."

Hunter grunts, stepping on the accelerator and speeding home. "Hunter, you're going a little too fast, don't you think so?"

"Would you rather I strip you here and take you now? I can smell you, Abbie. Your heat. It's driving me wild!"

He comes to a halt, not caring to park the car properly, and he stops right in front of the pack house. He gets out immediately, going to my side and opening my door. I'm getting hotter, and I feel the pressure between my legs mount. This... is insane. I... I wasn't this heated before. Why is this happening?

"You're fully mated, Abbie. It's normal, and your body is just getting ready to carry its babies. It's a normal thing, don't worry." she says, bulging my eyes. "Don't worry? What do you mean don't worry? I'm like ready to jump his bones here. I have never been the horny psycho type. Merida!" I say, right as he grabs my hand and pulls me up against him, crashing his lips on me with intense desire.

He cups my face, deepening the kiss and making me want to rip his shirt off. Before I know it, he's carrying me in his arms, and we are back in our room, ripping each other's clothes off and our bodies sweating as he makes love to me.

(next morning)

I got up extra cheerful this morning. I won't lie, Hunter is making me go crazy over him.

He had to leave really early this morning for a meeting at the Primord's pack territory, and I'm afraid he will not be back for two days, so you can imagine we went crazy making love last night.

I went down the stairs with a big smile, greeting everyone as they passed me. But I stopped dead in my tracks as I saw a group of young girls murmuring amongst themselves. They were looking in a certain direction, so I followed, and I sighed, dropping my shoulders as I saw Analise holding a big tray of muffins in hand. She could barely hold it up, and Spencer ran to her to help her, but another guy pulled him back, shaking his head to keep him from helping her.

This makes my blood boil. I know Hunter promised me he would take matters into his own hands when he returned, but I hate seeing people get bullied.

Just as I'm ready to storm her way to help her, Luna comes out of the kitchen and smiles at her. Everyone changes their act as if nothing was happening. Spencer, at the same time, pulls his shoulder away from the guard and shakes his head in disbelief, running toward Analise and taking the muffins from her.

"Let me help," he says, making her eyes widen in shock. "I... no, it's ok, I can handle it."

"Nonsense. It's too heavy for you. I'll take it inside." he says as Luna Mandy comes forward and hugs her.

"Thank you so much, Annie. Tell Agnes I appreciate her taking my order at the last minute."

"It's no trouble, Luna. I hope you enjoy them." I begin to make my way toward them, but I'm at an angle where the other girls cannot see me, though I can still see and hear them.

"Won't you stay to join us for breakfast this morning?" Luna Mandy asks, making Analise look around timidly.

"Uhm, I don't think it a good idea, Luna."

"Of course it is. Good morning, Luna. Good morning, Analise. Please, come sit with me and Lily at our table." I say as I wrap my arm around her shoulders and pull her against me. Her eyes look at me in shock, making me chuckle.

The girls look at us embarrassed, making me give a low growl. By now, they had realized they were giving unwanted attention to Analise, making me angry. "You are part of this pack, Analise. You have as much right as everyone else to come and eat here when you like." I say, raising my voice at the last statement.

The girls look embarrassed, some looking down, some looking away as I throw daggers at them. "Luna, I'm not sure that's a good idea. Maybe I should leave," she whispers, looking at the floor. I can feel her body shaking and her voice barely coming at a whisper.

"No, Analise. You're part of this pack. And being that you are part of this pack, me and you are part of the family. My family. Don't you ever doubt that." I say, making her look up with tearful eyes.

"Thank you, Luna," she says, making me sigh.

"Come on, girls, let's go and eat breakfast." Luna Mandy says, looping her arm with me as we make our way toward the dining room.

I don't want to seem like a bad person. I don't. The last I want is to have pack members hate me. But I can't stand people getting walked over by others. I don't like injustice; I lived it, and it feels so bad. It makes you feel worthless and unwanted. And the last I want is for Analise to feel this way.
