Trapped by Him

As soon as Derrick left the room, the people who were angry but didn't dare to say anything suddenly cursed.

Derrick ignored them. He turned back and glanced at the door. He took out a cigarette and smoked. His fingers parted, and the cigarette fell to the ground silently.

He stepped on it hard in his leather shoes and crushed it back and forth.

He glanced out of the window with a sullen expression, raised his foot on the cigarette, and strode out.

The car sped along the road, almost flying, yet he did not seem to notice it at all. His eyes were staring straight ahead.

It was already almost midnight.

He drove fast and finally stopped in front of the Fisher's.

As soon as the car stopped, the door was pushed open. Then, Derrick got out of the car and hurried into the house.

When the butler heard the noise, he immediately opened the door. However, he said as he saw Derrick, "Alpha Derrick, Curtis said that you were not allowed to enter the house."

Derrick had lost weight. His thin face was cold, and his voice was hoarse. "I am here to see him."

"Wait a moment. I'll go ask him," the butler said.

The butler returned and looked at Derrick with an embarrassed expression. "Curtis said he was asleep."

How could he say so if he was asleep?

Derrick lowered his eyes and said in a husky voice, "I got it."

Derrick stood outside the door, turned around, and stopped in the middle of the courtyard.

At this time, Curtis was standing by the window on the second floor. He looked at Derrick through the window. Curtis expected a lot from Derrick, so he couldn't accept the fact that Derrick made mistakes again and again.

At the same time, in the bathroom attached to the bedroom on the top floor of Fittro Club.

After the shower, Gloria stood in front of the mirror. There was a vacant look in her eyes, and she was even more confused about the future.

Moonlight Group that she had suddenly taken back was not in her plans. This matter disrupted her original plan.

But she did not regret it.

Her grandfather loved her, yet he had selfish motives too. He was the grandfather of both Gloria and Harry, wasn't he?

Perhaps her grandfather had done some things that seemed unfair, yet Gloria understood that her grandfather's harsh words were also filled with concern.

Before her grandfather passed away, he took her hand and said, "Take good care of it."

Now, Moonlight Group had returned to her hands. In an instant, the gloom and confusion in her eyes dispersed. She made a decision. Perhaps she would fail her grandfather in the end.

She closed her eyes. When she opened them again, there was hesitation in her eyes. She walked to the bathroom door with difficulty.

There was only a door in front of her, but she felt like it separated two worlds. There was no turning back once she walked out of the door.

She reached out her trembling hand and gripped the door handle. She pulled hard and opened the door.

As expected, Patrick was lazily sitting in the leather armchair, reading a book quietly.

He seemed to particularly like picking up a book, and sitting on the leather sofa, while she was taking a shower.

If she could ignore the conflicts between herself and this man, she would have had a ridiculous illusion that he sat on the sofa and read quietly every day just to keep her company.

Yet there was a trace of self-mockery in Gloria's eyes. She was thrown into hell at the cost of being naive.

She was trembling violently at that moment.

Tonight, it seemed something was going to happen.

"Mr. Hammond." Even her voice was trembling. "I've just taken a shower."

Gloria cursed herself in her heart. It was this man who had destroyed her and thrown her into a quagmire. And she wasn't even able to take revenge. Now, she still had to please him.

She had to spread her legs and ask him, "Mr. Hammond, I finished showering. Do you want to sleep with me now?"

How disgusting!

Gloria gripped the blanket tightly. She looked at Patrick in the armchair and forced herself to smile.

Patrick looked up from the book. His gaze first fell on her face and then slowly slid to her fingers that were clutching the blanket in front of her chest.

He looked at her white knuckles, the bulging veins on her hands, and then her pale face.

Gloria was on the bed, and she felt the temperature around her suddenly drop. She shivered subconsciously and gripped the blanket tightly. She was so nervous that she did not dare to blink.

Patrick exuded an extremely dangerous aura. She did not know which of her sentences made him angry.

She thought, 'Gloria, you'll be fine.'

"Mr. Hammond, I just had a shower," she said quickly. "Don't worry. I will repay you for the 50 million. Since I promised you, I am willing to do so."

"Willing?" Patrick's voice was mixed with a trace of imperceptible anger. He chuckled and said, "Did you just say that you were willing to do it?"

"Yes," Gloria said.

Patrick stared at Gloria, who was lying on the bed. He almost lost his mind. An indescribable rage was about to swallow his rationality.

"Willing to do what?" Patrick's furious voice came to an abrupt end.

Just as he was about to go crazy, he came back to his senses.

He suddenly slammed the book shut. The sound of the book being closed was loud.

Patrick did not say anything else. He stared at Gloria's face.

His gaze became even deeper and more complicated. It was incomprehensible to her.

That was how he looked at her. Somehow, Gloria was more frightened than the time she first saw him after she was released from prison.

Patrick suddenly stood up from the armchair.

Gloria flinched and said, "Mr. Hammond, I am ready."
