Kacie

I hate it when we fight. It takes a lot for someone to admit when they were wrong. The way he felt about the witches was still an issue. I sighed as I Wrapped my arms around his torso. I nodded. When we separated, Viktor caressed my cheek.

“Don’t you feel better now that you’ve told us what was on your mind?” Viktor was cocky as he flashed me a smile.

“Yes,” I said grudgingly.

“Is there anything else you’d like to get off your chest?” We weren’t mind-linking but it was as if my mate could read my mind. I couldn’t hide it from him. Jake’s eyes locked on my mouth as I bit into my lower lip.

“There’s more?” He asked, his eyes widening. I couldn’t help but laugh.

“Not about Clara,” I said. Jake wasn’t convinced.

“That what about?” Jake asked cautiously. A slow smile worked across Viktor’s face as if he knew. I didn’t want to admit it out loud, wasn’t it childish of me to feel jealous of them? Now that I was sitting in front of the two of them, I realized how off-kilter my fears had been.

“You can talk to us,” Viktor murmured as he squeezed my hand.

“When I got back from the lesson with Clara, I had a lot on my mind and I didn’t know if I would tell you guys tonight or keep it to myself until I figured out how I felt about it first,” I said.

“That’s understandable,” Jake said. “When when I walked through the door, I thought you guys weren’t back yet. When I headed to the shower, I heard you guys on the other side of the door…” I trailed off.

“Oh,” Jake said. “I’m sorry we weren’t there for you when you needed us.”

“That’s not it,” Viktor said. His eyes on my face, I looked down at my fingers.

“No, that’s not it,” I said.

“Why don’t you tell us what it was,” Viktor said.

“I was jealous. I don’t know where it came from but when I heard you guys I was hurt. I don’t know why I was, I just was. Maybe it was because of the day I had or the news I just received but I was caught off guard.”

“You knew Viktor and I used to be together,” Jake said slowly.

“Yes, I knew that… I even said that to myself but…”

“But that was before,” Viktor said, finishing my sentence.

“Before me, yes.”

“Oh,” Jake said. “I didn’t know that… Is that what you want?” He asked. His eyes were sad as he looked at me, as he waited for my response.

“No,” I started. Closing my eyes, I tried to sort through the jumble of thoughts in my head that I couldn’t see clearly. When I figured out what to say, I opened my eyes and looked Jake in the eye. “I don’t have a problem with you guys being together.”

“Are you sure because that’s what you just said?” Jake’s eyebrows furrowed and there was a wrinkle on his forehead.

“I don’t have a problem with it,” I started, “I was caught off guard.”

“How can we make you feel better about this?” Viktor asked. “We want to make sure you’re comfortable with us.” Jake nodded.

“We don’t want to hurt you, Kacie,” Jake said.

“Would you guys link me next time? Or let me know?” I asked. “I felt left out,” I whispered.

“I’ll do you one better,” Viktor said as he leaned forward. “If you’re not here, we’ll link you and you can watch.” I couldn’t help but blush.

“I’d like that,” I murmured.

“We weren’t trying to leave you out,” Jake said. “We both knew you were in a session with Clara. We didn’t want to disturb you while you were trying to get control of your powers. We would have been a distraction to you.”

“I know and again, I was feeling overwhelmed when I walked in on you guys. All of the negative thoughts came flooding in and I let myself get swept away by them. Athena also tried to tell me I was blowing things out of proportion. Getting my head out of that dark space when I know I need to is harder said than done.”

“I know just how hard that can be,” Jake said.

“But you shouldn’t doubt us,” Viktor said. “We love you. It’s the three of us. We’re in this together.”

“You should be able to come to us without hesitation when you have problems or have insecurities. We’re your partners. I’m not perfect but I’ll never judge you. I’m sorry if anything I said today or even before today has made you feel like you can’t be open with me,” Jake said.

“As I mentioned earlier, I was overwhelmed and only the bad thoughts were getting in.” Looking at Jake, I hoped he could see that I didn’t have any ill feelings towards him. I couldn’t even judge really, how many times have I slept with Jake in front of Viktor? I couldn’t even remember.

“I love you as much as I love Jake,” Viktor said. “I may love you in different ways but you are both mines and I am both yours.”

“Different ways how?” I asked.

“I love Jake the way a man loves a man and we love you the way a man loves a woman.”

“I know,” I sighed.

“Now, enough sighing,” Jake said. His hands were on my shoulders and he helped me get into a comfortable position. “Let your daddies take care of you,” Jake murmured from above me.

I was about to say something about his use of the word daddy when his hands started kneading my lower back and I groaned. If he was going to massage me like that for the rest of the night, I’d call him whatever the hell he wanted me to call him. Viktor laughed as if he could hear my thoughts without me linking them. Viktor’s firm hands were on my feet. I closed my eyes as my mates massaged the pain from my body.
