Trapped by Him

Chapter 107

Gloria looked so serious. She said to Patrick, "My biggest mistake was falling in love with you." The expression on her face reminded Patrick of the Gloria he used to know.

Back then, she came to Patrick again and again. She declared that she was his mate and that they were a couple arranged by the Moon Goddess.

Patrick stared at Gloria. She was as serious as back then. However, with the same expression as before, she was now telling him that she was wrong.

She said that she was wrong. She said she would correct her mistakes. What did she mean by that?

Patrick felt a dull pain in his heart for no reason. He was about to snap.

All he knew was that she couldn't wait to leave him and be with Mike!

"Gloria, have I told you that even if it was something I didn't want, no one else could get their hands on it?" Patrick's voice was strangely soft, which sent shivers down her spine.

Gloria's breathing became rapid. She held the bedding under her tightly. She held her breath, and her eyes widened nervously. She stared at the man walking towards her step by step.

The sound of his approaching footsteps made her feel more and more uneasy.

Patrick walked towards her step by step. The pressure of his powerful Alpha's aura drew closer and overwhelmed her.

As he got closer, Gloria's face got paler, but she still kept her chin up and refused to give in.

Though she didn't have a wolf, she had Alpha's blood in her veins.

A morbid redness slowly appeared on Gloria's pale face, and her fingers tightened the bedding underneath her.

No matter how hard she tried to hide it, a fact was still a fact. She was afraid of him.

Patrick was watching her and captured all her subtle movements.

He realized that she was afraid of him.

In the next second, there was a wave of anger in Patrick's eyes.

The fact that Gloria was afraid of him was harder for him to accept than Gloria's insults to Gabrielle. However, he didn't realize that.

He was standing in front of her now. He lowered his eyelids, looked down at the woman on the bed, and said coldly, "Three years ago or now, Gloria, between you and me, you are never the one who calls the shots."

Patrick stubbornly believed that he was the only person that possessed Gloria's heart.

From the day Gloria told him that she was his mate, he believed that she belonged to him exclusively. She was not supposed to look at anyone else.

Gloria should only look at him, not others, including Gabrielle!

Patrick did not admit that Gloria was his mate. He rejected Gloria.

Still, he would not allow her to have anything to do with anyone else.

Gloria became so mean after three years, which made him furious. What he wanted was Gloria from three years ago. He didn't want the bitter, hideous woman in front of him!

He was also furious when he heard her cursing a dead woman who had been dead for three years! And she even claimed that she would spend the rest of her life cursing her!

Gloria would spend the rest of her life cursing Gabrielle. But Gloria's life belonged to him. Who gave her the right to curse a dead woman with something that belonged to him?

Both Mike and Gabrielle were hindrances in Patrick's eyes.

By considering Gloria his property, Patrick didn't realize his mentality toward her was not right. He also didn't realize that he had unconsciously accepted Gloria as his mate.

All of a sudden, Patrick bent down.

He drew her into his arms and then leaned toward her ear, his hot breath blowing slowly in her delicate ear.

He thought, 'You want freedom? If I let you have it, it will be the same as letting you go. Damn woman. That will never happen.' His lips curled into a wicked smile. He pressed his lips against her ear and said, "If it's something that belongs to me, no one else can have it, even if I don't want it. Gloria, you want happiness? Do you want freedom? Forget all about it. Stop fantasizing. You shall never have them. Does a murderer deserve happiness? You tell me."

Patrick felt Gloria's body stiffen as he tightly locked her in his arms. A trace of indescribable pain surged in his heart, and he quickly suppressed it.

She upset him and made him feel stuffy.

Gloria felt that every breath of her was burning with pain. She opened her mouth, trying to say that she wasn't a murderer. She did not kill Gabrielle.

Yet in the next second, she paused. She didn't say a word.

She thought, 'He is right. I do owe someone her life.

Mica died for me!'

Gloria's lips were ghastly pale. She trembled and said, "Mr. Hammond, you're right. Someone like me doesn't deserve freedom."

Patrick's harsh words were like a knife, stabbing Gloria's heart.

It was as if her strength had been taken out of her all of a sudden. Her stiff body lay soft on his shoulder, and she let him hold her.

She thought, 'Patrick, you won again.'

Gloria slowly closed her eyes to cover the pain in her eyes.

"Good. You realize it finally. Stop saying you're going to curse Gabrielle for the rest of your life," Patrick said slowly. "You won't have a chance."

He thought, 'You won't have a chance, since the rest of your life belongs to me. You belong to me, and me only.'

However, Patrick didn't know that the words he said deeply hurt Gloria.

She said, "Yes, Mr. Hammond, whatever you say."

She hated Gabrielle's guts, and she showed Patrick how deeply she hated Gabrielle. However, he still said to her, "You won't have a chance." His words broke her heart.

She gathered all her courage to fight back, but eventually, she was too exhausted to keep trying.

She thought, 'Patrick, I give up. I'm not going to fight you anymore. I'm so tired. I won't try to break free, no more...'
