Gloria practically ran home. She closed the door of the dormitory room and leaned against the door to rest.
Her face was ghastly pale. She heard what Barbara said.
She thought she could ignore it.
However, she suddenly realized that such comments still hurt her.
There was indeed a huge gap between her and Derrick. In the eyes of humans, she was a lowly call girl, and Derrick was a successful CEO.
In the eyes of werewolves, she was a rogue without a wolf, and Derrick was the Alpha of the Blood Moon Pack.
She and Derrick were a complete mismatch from anyone's standpoint.
She couldn't respond to Derrick's feelings. He looked at her with such seriousness, persistence, and affection, but the more he treated her like this, the more she felt she didn't deserve it.
Gloria entered the bathroom, washed her face, and rested her hands on the sink. She looked up at herself in the mirror and pushed aside the hair on her forehead, revealing the scar. Her gaze moved from the scar all the way down to her pale face.
She tried to talk to her wolf in her mind, but there was no response. Such an empty feeling reminded her that she was not a werewolf anymore.
It was so quiet all around that she could hear her heartbeat. Her eyes became firm, and she became more determined than ever. She didn't deserve it and it would stay that way.
Yet it didn't seem like Gloria had the final say.
At night, Gloria came to Fittro Club to work. As soon as she walked into the lounge of the Public Relations Department, a waiter came in to talk to her.
"Gloria, go to Room 2 on the sixth floor. A customer is asking for you," the waiter said.
Gloria quickly stood up and followed the waiter to the sixth floor.
"Sir, Gloria is here." The waiter knocked on the door and then left.
Gloria stood at the door of the room, and her hand reaching out to open the door stopped in midair. The door was opened from the inside, and Gloria stood there.
Standing beside the door of the room, Derrick looked at Gloria and said with a smile, "Gloria, here I am, your customer."
Gloria had a headache. At the same time, she somehow was amused since he really showed up.
She was about to walk into the room. Before she did, Derrick stopped her.
Derrick said, "It's so boring in the room. Come with me. Let's get out of here."
"I'm working, Mr. Fisher," said Gloria.
"I am your customer. Didn't you say that customers always come first? Didn't you say you wouldn't let me down if I showed up with money at Fittro Club tonight?" Suddenly, Derrick leaned over. He was so close to Gloria that his lips were almost pressed against Gloria's ear. He continued, "Didn't you say that I could do anything I wanted?"
He breathed next to Gloria's ear and asked, "Were you trying to fool me? Well, that's not very nice, right?"
Gloria's ears were sensitive, and they immediately turned red. She quickly dodged, and in the next second, Derrick caught her.
Derrick leaned his head closer and said flirtatiously, "Let's go out. The room is stuffy. If you don't come with me, your customer will be displeased. Also, I'll still be waiting for you downstairs tomorrow."
Gloria's expression changed.
She gritted her teeth and said, "Mr. Fisher, I'm working!"
"I know. I know the rules of Fittro Club better than you do. If I want to take you away from here, all I need to do is tell Emily and pay by the hour. So, if you want, I'll ask for a leave for you. How about that?" Derrick said nonchalantly.
He took out a stack of cash and placed it in front of Gloria. Then he continued, "Think of it as work. I promise that we'll only go and grab a few bites. Carl says he won't fix me anything to eat unless I show up with you. Come on, Gloria. Think about it."
"Stop talking." Gloria was a little annoyed.
"Then come eat with me," Derrick said.
"Is that all? Promise?" she asked, feeling in a pickle.
"Yes," Derrick said solemnly.
"Fine," Gloria agreed with a bit of reluctance.
They left Fittro Club and went to Carl's diner again.
Carl was happy and made dessert for Gloria and Derrick.
After that, Gloria and Derrick strolled on the streets in Gabbs. Meanwhile, there were still people whispering about them.
Therefore, Gloria got into Derrick's car and asked him to take her back to Fittro Club.
"Where are we going now?" Gloria noticed that the road Derrick took wasn't the way back to Fittro Club.
Derrick was driving down the other road.
He said, "You'll know when we get there."
"I thought you said we were just going to grab a few bites." Gloria was a little dissatisfied.
"What's wrong with taking a walk after eating?" Derrick said naturally.
Derrick was driving farther and farther away from Fittro Club. Gloria asked nervously, "Where are we going?"
"You'll know when we get there," he answered perfunctorily.
Gloria realized that he had no intention of telling her, no matter how many times she asked him.
So, she turned and looked out the window. She was getting drowsy and then fell asleep.
She had no idea how long had passed. Then Derrick woke Gloria up.
"We're here," he said.
Gloria opened her eyes and saw the surroundings. She exclaimed, "Amusement park?"
"Yes. I want to have some fun in the amusement park, and you will join me," with his hands on his waist, Derrick said cheekily. "A rich, handsome, and wise grown man like me shouldn't queue up and wait to play in broad daylight. So, booking the place and keeping the place to myself all night is the right thing for me to do."
Gloria gawked at Derrick, who was not far away from her. She thought, 'How cheeky is he to say something like this?
What kind of grown men come to amusement parks?'
Gloria was in a daze. At the same time, Derrick coughed a few times and said, "Gloria, what are you waiting for?"
"What?" Gloria asked doubtfully.
"I've booked the entire amusement park. I'm sure you admire me so much. Don't you?" Derrick asked.
