Alger couldn't believe his ears. He thought, 'Did Gloria just say that Patrick owns the Fittro Club?

Patrick? The Alpha of the Black Thorn Pack?'

Alger couldn't help but wonder, 'Is it because of Patrick that Gloria can't change her job?'

Alger was the Alpha of a pack after all. He quickly cleared his thoughts. When he figured out the reason, his expression changed drastically. He cursed, "Bitch! Did you cross Alpha Patrick again?"

Gloria was more than disappointed now. She looked at the man in front of her and was stunned. She thought, 'Seriously? Is this your first reaction? To question me, what did I do to offend that terrifying Alpha?

You are my father, yet you forced me to change my job. And at the mention of Patrick's name, you changed so quickly!

This is who my father is, the Alpha of the Silver Spring Pack.'

Gloria suppressed her disappointment and calmly told them about her experience.

She said, "After I left the werewolf prison, I had nothing. To not sleep on the streets, I applied for a job as a janitor at Fittro Club. I worked as a janitor for a while, and then, to my surprise, I met Mr. Hammond there. After that, I was transferred to the Public Relations Department, and it was Mr. Hammond who made the decision."

Gloria looked at Alger. She wanted to explain to him that she didn't choose to rot. After she left the werewolf prison, she chose to be a janitor. There was a reason why she had become a call girl.

Yet obviously, Alger didn't understand what she meant. Or rather, he didn't care. The reason he came to criticize Gloria was that she disgraced him.

He simply didn't give a damn about Gloria. What he cared about was Patrick's attitude.

Alger's expression changed. He stared at Gloria on the ground, and his mind was a mess. He believed that Patrick hated Gloria's guts. He figured that Patrick made Gloria a call girl because he wanted to humiliate her.

After weighing the stakes, Alger made a decision. He said, "Let's go!"

Alger wanted to leave Gloria's dorm, while Camille was still puzzled. She was rudely dragged out of Gloria's room.

"Alger, why are we leaving so suddenly?" Camille asked as she followed behind Alger.

Alger walked hurriedly. As he walked, he said, "Or what? Do you want to stay here and be Alpha Patrick's enemy? Didn't you hear what Gloria said? It seems that Patrick hates her so much. Go prepare a gift tonight. Tomorrow, you and I will pay a visit to Alpha Patrick. We must make it clear to him that Gloria is no longer a member of the Silver Spring Pack. By the way, go to the Elders tomorrow. I will announce to all the werewolves in Gabbs that the Silver Spring Pack will not consider Gloria as a member. We will banish her from the pack forever!"

Camille was shocked. Back then, they were only taking a stance by not helping Gloria. However, by going to the Elders to announce such news, it meant that Gloria would be banished for real.

"Alger..." Camille was a little hesitant.

"Stop hesitating! Think about it. Alpha Patrick is a cruel person. And you don't have to feel guilty. Gloria killed someone. She needs to be punished for what she has done. There's nothing else we can do for her," said Alger cruelly.

"Our pack has already faced a crisis because of her. I won't let her ruin us again. Go and get the dagger I treasure. We will go to the Black Thorn Pack tomorrow," Alger said to Camille.

Alger and Camille quickly left Gloria's room, leaving Gloria's door open.

In the living room, Gloria collapsed to the ground. She stared blankly at the floor, tears rolling down her cheeks.

She used to feel ridiculous when she saw actors in TV dramas laughing and crying at the same time.

Yet today, she realized that a person could have two completely different feelings at the same time.

She was experiencing it right now. She told Alger that Patrick owned the Fittro Club, which made Alger, who had been forcing her to change her job, panic. She felt the thrill of revenge, which made her want to laugh loudly.

However, Alger avoided her hastily, as if she were some kind of plague. He ran away from her so hurriedly, though he was her father. In his eyes, she was worse than trash. Such a realization was tearing her apart, and she wanted to cry.

Early the next morning, in his place in the Black Thorn Pack, Patrick was sitting on the sofa in the living room. He looked at Alger and Camille sitting opposite him cautiously.

Damon stood next to the sofa where Patrick was sitting with a serious expression.

Patrick glanced at the gift placed on the table, and then he looked at Alger and Camille, the Alpha and the Luna of the Silver Spring Pack.

Alger and Camille had smiles on their faces, and Patrick could tell that there was a hint of flattery in their smiles.

Patrick smiled imperceptibly. He said, "Alpha Alger, I see what you mean."

Patrick's eyes revealed a trace of disdain. After he finished speaking, he immediately stood up and looked at Damon. "Damon, send Alpha Alger and Luna Camille away from the Black Thorn Pack."

"Yes, Alpha Patrick," Damon immediately replied.

Damon walked forward. He bowed slightly, held out his hand, made a "please" gesture, and said, "Alpha Patrick is very busy. I'll see you off the pack."

"And the gift..." Alger became a little nervous. He looked at Patrick expectantly.

Patrick tilted his head and said, "Since it's your token, Alpha Alger, I shall keep it."

Hearing Patrick's words, Alger heaved a sigh of relief. He figured that such a decision suggested that Patrick wouldn't pick on the Silver Spring Pack because of Gloria ever again.

"Thank you, Alpha Patrick."

Alger felt much more at ease as he followed Damon out of the pack.
