Trapped by Him

Chapter 104

Feb 22, 2026 102 / 398

The Beta of the Walter Pack suddenly thought of something. He said, "I remember something. Warren mentioned Gloria when he called."

Then, Daley remembered it too. He said, "Gloria? From the Silver Spring Pack? Isn't she in the werewolf prison? Call Alpha Alger, the Alpha of the Silver Spring Pack. I want to ask him myself."

It was late in the night. After the call went through, someone picked up and he didn't sound happy.

"What's the matter? It's so late."

"Alpha Alger, are you asleep?" asked Daley.

Alger was no longer that drowsy after he heard Daley's voice.

He said, "Oh, it's you, Alpha Daley. It's late. What do you want?"

"Alpha Alger, I'm calling to congratulate you," Daley said.

Alger was puzzled. He asked in confusion, "About what, Alpha Daley? What's the occasion?"

"Congratulations on your family reunion. Gloria has been released, hasn't she?"

Alger's expression suddenly changed. He said with a solemn expression, "Alpha Daley, is that what you want to tell me about in the middle of the night?"

After Alger finished speaking, he suddenly realized that Gloria had already left the werewolf prison. He felt irritated.

The Silver Spring Pack used to be second only to the Black Thorn Pack. However, after Gloria was sent to the werewolf prison, many pack members left the Silver Spring Pack, which greatly reduced the pack's strength.

As the Alpha of the Silver Spring Pack, Alger became a joke among the packs in Gabbs.

He blamed Gloria for this. He hated her more, every time he thought about it.

Daley, on the other end of the line, smiled and said, "You know that Warren is a young, spirited kid. He likes to go to clubs. If he hadn't gone to Fittro Club, he wouldn't have met Gloria. Alpha Alger, our packs are allies after all. I watched Gloria grow up. You shouldn't let her stoop so low as to be a call girl in a club, even though she has done something wrong."

A smile appeared on Daley's face as he heard the sound of a glass smashing over the phone.

Daley thought, 'It's Alger's daughter who causes the mess. Now that Warren is implicated, I'll drag Alger down as well.'

After hanging up the phone, Alger hurriedly got out of bed and put on his nightgown by the side.

Camille, his Luna, Gloria's mother, asked drowsily, "What is it?"

"What is it?" Alger said angrily. "That wonderful daughter of yours is now a call girl in a club!"

Camille was shocked. She quickly sat up and asked, "What did you say?"

"Alpha Daley just called. Warren saw Gloria working as a call girl at Fittro Club!"

Camille was flustered. She hurriedly said, "That's impossible! No way! Gloria is a proud girl. She would never do such a thing! Did Warren get it wrong?"

"Alpha Daley just called me. What do you think?" Alger's face was livid.

"What are you going to do in the middle of the night?" Camille reached out and grabbed Alger's wrist. "Alger, it's late. What can you do now?"

Alger was almost fifty. His hair was a bit grey, but it didn't diminish his charm. Instead, it made him look mature. Inarguably, Alger was an attractive man and he must have looked dashing when he was younger.

Yet right now, Alger's face was utterly gloomy.

He gnashed his teeth and cursed, "Three years ago, our pack was nearly gone because of that stupid girl. I managed to save the pack, yet we became a joke in the eyes of all the werewolves in Gabbs. Eventually, it all fizzled out, and our pack was back to its former glory. Now she works as a call girl at Fittro Club. Why won't she leave us alone? What did I do wrong? Why would the Moon Goddess give me such a daughter?"

Alger recalled what happened three years ago as he cursed. He continued, "She is my daughter. I'm the Alpha. How could she collude with rogues to frame her friend? Not to mention that Gabrielle was the Beta's sister of the Black Thorn Pack! And she even claimed to be Alpha Patrick's mate! How ridiculous! Alpha Patrick would not accept her at all. He wanted Gabrielle to be his Luna. She did this to be with Alpha Patrick. Now she has left the werewolf prison, and she becomes a call girl in Fittro Club!"

"Alpha Alger, calm down." Camille looked bitter. After all, Gloria was her daughter. She said, "Alger, think about it. Gloria has been so proud since she was a little girl. How could she become such a woman?"

"Just accept it, OK?" Alger said impatiently. "Warren, from the Walter Pack, saw it with his own eyes. They grew up together. Do you think Warren would have mistaken her for someone else?"

"Maybe she had a reason." Camille found it hard to believe that Gloria would take such a job at Fittro Club. "Alger, we need to get to the bottom of this. We shouldn't just take Warren's word for it."

Alger sneered, "Indeed, I'll get to the bottom of this. I'll see what kind of bad luck she is gonna bring to us this time."

After he finished speaking, he pushed Camille's hand away madly and headed to the study. "I'll sleep in the study today," he said.

Alger went to the study, took out his phone, and dialed a number. "Gloria was released from prison. Check her whereabouts as well as what happened to her after she was released. Find out as much as you can. I want to know everything."

At the same time, Patrick returned to Fittro Club. Warren and his friends were still locked in the room on the sixth floor.

Patrick did not forgive them after they reached out to their packs. Instead of showing up, Patrick asked Stewart to teach them a lesson before letting them go.

Leonard asked in confusion, "Alpha Patrick, you hate Miss Carter so much, then, why do you stand up for her?"

A trace of self-doubt flashed in Patrick's eyes, but it only lasted for a second. Then he said indifferently, "I gave them a lesson because I didn't like them. It had nothing to do with that woman."
