Trapped by Him

Chapter 99

Gloria took a sip of whiskey and started coughing. She coughed so hard that she spat most of the whiskey out.

"Hey, Miss Carter, the wine is very expensive. Don't waste it," Warren said sarcastically.

Those around them continued to jeer, "Drink! Drink up now!"

Someone mocked coldly, "Miss Carter doesn't like it. Lanny, you should give her better whiskey."

When one was cornered, everyone would love to rub salt into the wound.

Why did they hate her so much? Gloria didn't know.

Suddenly, someone punched the door, and everyone turned toward it.

Then, he punched again, and the door was opened. A tall figure appeared.

"Who the hell is that?" Warren complained.

In the next second, he saw the person at the door and gasped.

It was Patrick, the Alpha of the Black Thorn Pack.

Patrick ignored the others in the room. He looked around the room with his sharp eyes and saw Gloria.

Patrick panicked as he saw the bottle in her hand.

He rushed to Gloria as quickly as possible. Then, he grabbed the bottle in her hand, pulled her up, and put his arm around her waist.

Patrick looked at those around him and shouted, "Who gave this to her?"

His gaze swept across everyone in the room.

Warren, Lanny, and the others were all stunned when they saw Patrick.

It never occurred to them that Patrick was the boss of the Fittro Club.

Warren said tentatively, "Alpha Patrick?"

"Who? Don't make me ask again!" Patrick's voice was utterly cold.

"It's me." Lanny no longer looked arrogant. He looked at Patrick and said cautiously, "We came to Fittro Club to hang out, and all we did was buy the call girl a drink. Alpha Patrick, there's no need to make a fuss."

"Is this how you talk to me?" Patrick looked at Lanny coldly. He then glanced at Leonard.

Leonard immediately stepped forward and kicked Lanny, making him fall to his knees.

Broken glass pierced Lanny's knees, and he was irritated because of the pain.

Warren immediately shouted, "Fine, you're the owner of Fittro Club, but it doesn't mean you get to be so arrogant in front of us. The Walter Pack has many allies in Gabbs. Are you trying to break the peace among the packs?"

The other werewolves in the room persuaded Patrick, "She is just a call girl. Alpha Patrick, there's no need for you to get so upset."

"Leonard, let Christine talk," Patrick said when he saw that they still grabbed Christine.

After Patrick said so, the guy grabbing Christine immediately let go of her.

"How much did she drink?" Patrick's voice was cold, but it wasn't hard to detect concern in his tone.

"Mr. Hammond, you got here in time. She had three mouthfuls of it," Christine said quickly.

Patrick's face was still cold. Three mouthfuls might be nothing to others, but for Gloria... He subconsciously placed his hand on the left side of Gloria's waist.

Gloria froze and did not dare to move. Her chest and stomach were burning with pain. The whiskey made her sick.

"Christine, are you hurt?" Patrick asked, noticing Christine's swollen face.

"No. I just got slapped a few times," Christine answered honestly.

"Who did this to you?" Patrick asked.

"It's me. Alpha Patrick, are you going to pick a bone with me for the sake of an employee?" Warren tried his best to stay calm as he said.

Patrick let go of Gloria, walked over to Lanny, and grabbed Lanny's arm. Lanny immediately cried out in pain.

Warren shouted, terrified, "Lanny, shift!"

"If he shifts, I will break his neck right now," Patrick cut in.

Warren felt humiliated. He shouted angrily, "Alpha Patrick, Lanny is Beta's son of Walter Pack. He is the future Beta. If you harm him, the Walter Pack will go after you!"

Patrick sneered. He tightened his grip on Lanny's arm. Then he snapped Lanny's arm, causing Lanny to let out a scream.

Patrick looked at Warren and said, "If the Walter Pack wants to fight the Black Thorn Pack, I don't mind destroying the Walter Pack."

Warren was so scared that he broke out in a cold sweat. Meeting Patrick's cold eyes, he realized that Patrick was serious.

Patrick's expression was sullen. He looked at every one of them in the room and then said, "I'll deal with you later. I mean, every one of you. None of you will get away."

Killing intent flashed across his eyes as he shouted, "Leonard, ask someone to watch them."

Then he bent down and picked Gloria up. He strode quickly out of the room. "Christine, come with me."

Christine quickly followed Patrick.

Gloria buried her head and let Patrick hold her. Her heart was filled with despair.

She couldn't say that she was grateful for Patrick's rescue.

She said nothing along the way.

Patrick held Gloria in his arms and got into the car parked downstairs. "Christine, drive," he said.

He sat in the back seat, still holding Gloria in his arms.

Suddenly, Gloria handed a check to him. She said, "Mr. Hammond, this is the rest of the money, 100 thousand dollars in total. From now on, I am free."

Patrick fixed his eyes on the check. He was a very shrewd man, and he figured out the gist of her words.

He suddenly looked up, and his eyes fell on the back of Christine's head, while Christine was driving.

Cold sweat broke out on Christine's forehead, and she felt it hard to breathe.

Patrick did not ask, and she did not explain.

Patrick retracted his gaze and turned his head slightly. He looked at Gloria in his arms, and suddenly smiled, "What did I say? I told you to transfer a million dollars to that card in a month."
