I was the first one awake this morning. Everyone was still sleeping and here I was, already showered and dressed, ready to attack the day. I was not going to let last night's situation impact on my holiday. I stood in the kitchen, my eyes scanning the beautiful lake. I stretched my body and yawned at the same time. I could feel a bubble excitement in my stomach.
"Morning" I jumped slightly at the sound of this thick masculine voice. I wondered why the hell was his voice so smooth. I turned around to see a sweaty Xavier. He looked like he just came back from a run.
Xavier was wearing a black pair of shorts and he had a black pair of Nike shoes. My eyes couldn't help but drink in each and every inch of his perfect abs that was on display. He was standing shirtless in front of me, clearly not realizing how much his presence was affecting me.
"Good morning" I greeted back. His eyes quickly scanned me, then they rested on my eyes. I maintained eye contact with him, refusing to look away. I didn't want him to know that I was intimidated.
How could I not be?
"Good morning!" Lena greeted cheerfully as she walked towards us. Once her eyes fell on her brother, she shuddered. "I'm hugging you later" she said as she walked towards me and embrace me in a hug. "I'm so happy to be here!" she said in excitement.
"I am too" I responded while pulling out of the hug.
"Who did you bring?" Lena asked her brother accusingly. "And why is he sleeping in your room?" She continued. I rolled my eyes at how dramatic she sounded. I walked to the fridge and opened it to get an apple juice box out.
"You'll see later" Xavier shrugged. Lena squinted her eyes in suspicion.
"Or I can go see" She shrugged back.
"That would be disrespectful" I chipped in, my back still facing them. I turned around when I heard Lena gasped.
"You're supposed to be on my side" Lena muttered.
"I am on the side of reality" I said with a smile. She rolled her eyes then sat on the chair by the kitchen island.
"Reality is boring" she said, making me grin at her words. "What's the plan?" She then asked. Xavier had a bottle of water in his hand and his eyes was fixed on his phone. He was completely ignoring us.
"I thought that you had everything planned out" I mumbled.
"Yeah but I mean it's still seven in the morning and they won't wake up until ten" Lena pointed out. "We have a hike planned at eleven" she mentioned. "Do you want to do some horse riding?" she asked me with a smile. Lena knew very well that I love these type of activities.
"Yes!" I answered. I couldn't help the big smile that formed on my face.
"Let me see if there are any slots available at eight" she said and started typing on her phone. After five minutes, she was still trying to have a good horse riding center.
"I have booked for three people at the Rockbank Horse-riding Center" Xavier suddenly said from where he has been standing.
"You're coming too?" Lena asked him, a frown forming on her face.
"I am" He simply said. After a few seconds, he turned to glare at his sister. "You were not planning to bring me?" he questioned in disbelief. It was the first time I was seeing a proper facial expression.
"I didn't think you'd be interested. I mean you have a guest to look after" she said. The grin on her face showed her much she loved teasing her brother.
"Eros and Mayra are here to look after him" Xavier said while crossing his arms.
"And Spencer too" Lena added, raising one of her perfect eyebrows at her brother. I could see that she was trying to intend something. There was a hidden message right there, to which Xavier shrugged.
"Go get ready" he said before walking away.
"You cannot ignore him all your life" Lena muttered.
"I can" Xavier snapped. "And I will" I rose my eyebrows at how awkward that was. I could smell some tension.
Was it because Spencer was a vampire?
"Let's go get ready" I told Lena, forcing a smile on my face.
"He's such a bi-" Lena started but I quickly slapped my hand on her mouth.
"He's your brother" I quickly said. "and I want to go horse riding without any drama" I quickly said. I quickly removed my hands when I felt her tongue swirling on my skin. "Did you just lick me?" I asked in disbelief.
"I just did" Lena confirmed. "Why the hell does your body lotion taste so good?" she asked.
"I know! It's weird" I exclaimed. I loved this lotion. It smelled so good and taste very sweet and fruity. "Let's go" I ushered and made my way to her bedroom.
Do you want me to take the couch tonight?" Lena asked as she followed behind me to her room.
"No" I said. "It's very comfortable and it smells so good" I admitted.
"It smells like used socks because we spilled soup on it last time we came here" she scrunched her face in disgust. I frowned in confusion at her words.
"That couch smells like expensive ass perfume, Lena" I said. "I slept on it the whole night and I know what I'm talking about" I told her. That perfume was so enticing. I felt like I was floating the whole time.
"Maybe someone sprayed it" she shrugged as we walked in her room. We were trying our best not to make any noise as everyone was still sleeping. "Who do you think it is?" She suddenly questioned. I knew that she was referring to the guest that her brother brought along. I was not planning on ruining the surprise so I didn't respond.
I am pretty sure that her reaction will be worth the suspense.
