I wasn't scared of being seen by any member of The Dark Blood Pack or even their alpha knowing that he had agreed to give me 5 days to see if I was worthy to be a part of his pack. I know it wasn't for me nor did he care that he almost killed me. He did it all for Madison his aunt. My pain nor my tears didn't allow him to show me any mercy for I was nothing to him. I felt the horrible marking he gave me burned, recollecting the day he wrote nothing on my forehead with his claw. I was truly nothing to him and I know for sure he'll never allow me to pass any of his tests to be a part of his pack.
"Rain, please stop!" I heard Madison behind me.
I looked behind me and there I saw her in her wolf form chasing me.
"I know you're scared about what happened but look at it you've been given a chance to be a part of this pack."
My head turned away from her not wanting to hear what she had to say. I was not safe with her as long as her nephew was the ruler of the pack. I would be committing suicide should I ever stay here with her.
I ran in the same direction I first came onto their land. To the large field, I recollected her and the alpha taking a scroll. As I did, I slowed down seeing members of the Dark Blood Pack opposite alongside members of The Grey Pack. I recollected them from the two wolves that had chased me. My heart raced seeing there were many of them.
"There she is, the thief," one said as he spotted me.
Madison came before me and I hide behind her.
"You and your pack are not welcome on this land," said Alaric angrily.
A few members of the Dark Blood Pack growled at The Grey Pack members with Alaric respond readily to a fight.
Alaric shifted into his brown wolf and the alpha appeared and immediately stopped him.
"What are you fools doing on my land?" the alpha growled at The Grey Pack.
I watched closely fearing what could happen. My eyes widened as I saw all members of The Grey Pack's bodies begin to tremble. They were terrified of the alpha.
"We're just here for her," said one of the Grey pack to the alpha as he slowly backed away in fear.
"Leave and never come on this land again or I will hunt you all down and put an end to your entire pack," warned the alpha.
"Sorry, have mercy upon us, we will never bother you again," apologized The Grey Pack.
They all ran away. I watched them as they did. They were terrified of The alpha as much as I and my pack were of them. I know at that moment that I had to stay and be a part of the Dark Blood Pack. I had to get them to like me, mostly the alpha.
Alpha Deucalion walked away and his members followed him, leaving me and Madison.
"Rain, please don't go," Madison begged me.
"I will stay," I told her. "I won't try to run away again, I promise." I looked at her seriously at my response.
She nodded with a smile.
"Come let's get you clean up."
When I arrived home with Madison, she attended to cleaning up the mess I have made in the room while I stood in the closed bathroom staring at the clean water and the white object she said was soap along with a towel to dry myself.
Seeing that The Grey Pack was terrified of The Dark Blood Pack and knowing that their alpha was. I had to stay here and prove to them I was not a thief, so I could be accepted as a part of their pack and be safe. But there was a problem, how can I when I had to keep my identity a secret? If my fur should be clean my blue marking would show and every member would know I'm a member of The River Pack and the daughter of The Luna because of my unique marking. I remained to stare at the bath of water trying to come up with a plan to hide my marking, suddenly I realized that I saw some black Lilly flowers outside. I secretly left the bathroom and returned without Madison knowing.
I went into the large bath of water soaking my entire fur. I refused to use the soap. After I was through I got out and shook myself dry. The entire bathroom was wet when I did. The heap of Lillies was on the floor. I rolled onto them and looked into the weird object Madison said was a mirror to see myself. My blue marking was hidden from the dark coloring of the fur and my fur didn't look so white.
"Rain," I heard Madison call.
It was hard for me to open the door with my paw and so I scratched at the door for her to know I was through. She opened the door.
"I'm finished," I told her as I exited the bathroom.
Her eyes opened and her mouth dropped open in surprise seeing my fur didn't look like I had taken a bath and the bathroom was messy.
"You could have used the towel to dry your fur instead of shaking your body dry," she told me.
I just went downstairs and sat before the door.
Within a minute I saw Madison coming downstairs with a single black Lilly I had used. She stood beside me and gave me a sad stare.
"I've heard stories about young rogues being raped." I heard her. "Is that why you decided to keep your fur dirty and carry an awful scent to turn off the rapist? she asked.
I didn't know what she was talking about, I was clueless about what is rape nor what was a rapist. If she assumed my actions to be so, I was okay with it.
I whine, giving her a sad sound.
"I'm sorry for the horrible life you've been through," she lowered herself to me and gently touched my head. "Just know that you're safe here, no rapist is here."
I nodded.
"I won't pressure you to shift into your human form nor to stop messing up your fur until you feel you are safe to do so."
I again nodded.
"I'm going to make sure I help you pass all the tests."
I whimpered.
We heard a knock on the door and I moved. I ran into the living room.
Madison opened the door.
"The alpha sent me with the first test for your scoundrel," I heard it was Alaric.
"Her name is Rain," I heard Madison correct him angrily.
I peeped from the living room. His brown eyes met mine as I did. He gave me a deadly smile and I immediately, hide from him.
"And what is the test or are you just here to angrily stare at her?" asked Madison upset.
"The alpha wants her at his home tomorrow at 9 am sharp," answered Alaric.
"For what?" asked Madison curiously.
"That's all the news he gave me."
I heard Madison close the door. I immediately went to her.
"I fear this test is not going to be easy to pass," she said worriedly.
I too was worried, greatly.
