"Your pack lacks of discipline" I told Roman as I sat on the counter of the kitchen. Roman had his back facing me. He was cleaning my wound. It was going to fully heal in a few minutes.
"I run my pack how I want to" Roman grumbled. I rolled my eyes. Why the hell was he mad at me? Because I fought with his Lily?
"No one refuses improvement" I scoffed. He turned to look at me. No. Roman was glaring at me.
"And I need advice from you?" he asked in disbelief. "An impulsive alpha?" he continued, making me clench my jaws.
"I was not being impulsive" I snapped as I jumped off the counter. I winced slightly when I stood on my leg. "You're just pissed because of Lily, right?" I asked while chuckling humorlessly. I huffed then walked out of the kitchen while wincing. I could hear Roman sigh, then his steps were soon heard behind me.
"What do you mean?" he asked. I knew that he was trying to control himself as his voice seemed to be on the edge. I did try to ignore him. Why shouldn't I?
"I want to go back home" I said out loud as I turned to look at him. A frown quickly crept on his face.
"Here is your home now" Roman said as if I was insane. I rolled my eyes then sat on the couch. I leant my head against the couch pillow while closing my eyes. He was my mate. How was I supposed to tell him that I didn't feel at home here?
"Why are you angry?" My mate asked as he settled on the couch in front of me. The door opened and my eyes opened as well. I watched as some pack members walked in. When they saw us, they froze. They slowly walked out with wide eyes. Two Alphas in the same room with anger reigning. Of course, they'd run away.
"I am not" I mumbled. I stared at him. Roman seemed confused. I could feel that he was trying to understand me.
"I can feel it" Roman sighed. "What's wrong, Ava?" he asked as he ran one of his hands in his hair. I clenched my thigh together as I felt the twinkling in my stomach when he said my name. Roman seemed to notice how tense I got because a smirk formed on his face. "What's wrong, Avanessa?" he questioned again, making me roll my lips in my mouth. He was using that against me. I was wanting him so bad. Why? I clenched my jaws then glared at him.
Wait.
Two can play at this game.
"Nothing, Roman" I told him and watched as he clenched his jaws. His eyes turned slightly black. He unconsciously ran his tongue over his lip. His kissable lips made me squirm on my seat.
"That's a dangerous game" he told me. I gulped. I bit my lower lip and observed as he groaned then his eyes turned black. This usually happens when a wolf is horny. Yes. Roman wanted me as much as I wanted him. We could both feel the lust that we were feeling for each other. The mate bond was making this
"The sexual tension is so darn high" I heard someone mumbled from behind me. It was as if I woke up from a dream as I blinked several times to recover from all the lust thing that Roman was putting me in. I turned to look at James who was smirking.
"Fuck you" I muttered, then I stood up. I started walking to the room in which I was settled in. I could hear James laughing behind me. What the hell was happening to me?
One minute, I was pissed.
The other, I was horny.
I blame my Sexy ass mate.
"Where are you going?" I turned to see Roman behind me.
"In my room, Roman" I said with a sigh. What did he think? That I would be run away. Oh. That's a nice idea. But my parents would certainly inform Roman about my whereabouts. And sincerely, I don't think I would have the courage to stay away from my annoying mate.
Something that I wasn't expecting suddenly happened.
I was pushed against the wall. Shit. Roman was resting his head against mine. I was already breathless by the simple fact that he was touching me. I could feel sparks flying from everywhere. His hand found its way to my cheek and he slowly caressed it.
"Say my name again" Roman whispered. I was so lost in his eyes. I was so lost in his voice.
"Roman" I unconsciously whispered back as my eyes fixed his. He leant his face closer to mine as he clenched his jaws. I could feel an aura of lust and admiration oozing from him. I moved my face closer to his as well. He was my mate.
He was mine.
Roman was mine and no one could change that.
"Alpha Roman. We need you on the field" No one except one person. That was Lily. I pushed Roman away. Roman and I both turned to look at Lily. Well, No. We glared at her. She was glaring back at me. Not Roman. But at me. She consciously interrupted us.
"Go" Roman grumbled.
"You're needed now" she persisted.
"Go. I'll come" Roman snapped.
"Now" Lily said and this caused Roman to growled.
"You don't fucking order me around!" that was Roman's wolf. Oops Lily.
"I would advise you to go" I snapped to Lily. I put my hand on Roman's shoulder and I felt him relax under my touch. Lily huffed then walked away. "You need to go as well" I told Roman as I retracted my hand from him. I didn't wait for him to talk and I simply turned around to walk back to my room.
"Avanessa" I heard Roman said, making me stop. "I'm not done with you" I could hear the lust in his voice. I smiled then continued walking to my room.
"We'll see" I said loud enough for him to hear.
