"You're okay?" I turned to see Ellie and Zack standing by the door of my room. I turned to look at my reflect again. I was wearing the simple black dress which had laces on the back. My hair was tied up in a high ponytail. My lips as covered with matte dark red lipstick. I had a simple winged eyeliner done. I had a small necklace on my neck and my black feather earrings on. I checked whether my black nail varnish were not smudged on my nails. Every little details were important tonight. I was so nervous. I was going to be officially introduced as the future Luna of the pack.
"I'm sweaty as fuck" I breathed while walking to the bed. I grabbed my high heels from next to the bed and started putting them on.
"You're nervous" Zack concluded. I stood up, trying my balance on the shoes. I smacked my lips together then took my bad from next to me.
"I hate being nervous" I told them.
"No one likes being nervous, Luna" Ellie said while rolling my eyes. I cringed internally when I heard Ellie calling me Luna.
"Something wrong, Luna?" Zack asked, a frown on his face. I cringed again.
"Guys, I swear to everything I believe in, if you call me Luna again, I'm kicking to your asses" I told them, glaring at both of them. Zack grinned while Ellie chuckled.
"I told you she was going to hate it. Give me my five dollars!" Ellie exclaimed to Zack while dancing around in happiness. Zack groaned, then took five dollars out of his back pocket then handed it to Ella.
"You've bet on me?" I questioned in disbelief.
"Yeah, I knew that you were going to hate being called Luna" Ella said with a grain plastered on her face.
"Lily would usually scream, yell and shout at us if we didn't call her Luna, saying that we were disrespecting her" Zack explained.
"You thought that I was going to be like her?" I asked, disbelief coating my words. We started walking out of my room. I could hear and smell so many different scents in the pack house. I couldn't catch the scent that I wanted to.
"I thought" Zack confirmed.
"Where's Roman?" I asked while we walked down the stairs. All the pack members were so beautiful dressed. Everyone smiled at me.
"He went to pick your parents and your brother on the border personally" Zack said. My eyebrows rose in surprise. I had my reasons to be surprised. Roman knew that my family was important to me, thus the personal attention to them.
"The party is in the backyard" Ellie told me. There was a backyard? I followed her and my jaws dropped opened when we entered a backyard with a huge fountain in the middle. There were seven long tables placed so that it could fit in nearly all members of the pack. There was a mini stage with a mike and a few chairs alongside.
"This is so nice" I breathed. Everything was so beautiful. Different flowers decorated the hay around the yard. Food was displayed magnificently on a huge table.
"Food!" I heard a familiar voice yell from behind me. James and Josh soon walked next to us. James' eyes were twinkling at the sight of food. He ignored us and walked to the table where mini chocolate cakes were displayed on a plate.
"You're waiting for Emilie?" I asked Josh who was watching James in amusement.
"Yeah, I miss her so much" Josh told me with a pout.
"You haven't seen her for like five hours" I deadpanned.
"Five long fucking hours" Josh corrected.
"Language, kids" We turned to see Roman's father walked to us with a kind smile on his face. I watched as Ellie and Zack bowled to their previous Alpha. Josh and I both smiled at him and slightly bowed in respect even if we didn't have to. He looked so surprised by this action. "Your parents and brother are here, Avanessa" He announced then motioned me to follow him to the main door. I did. Josh had a bright smile on his face. He was going to see Emilie. When we reached the door which was already wide open, I noticed Roman's car parking. The scent of my family hit my nose and I quickly ran outside in heels.
"Mom! Dad!" I greeted, wrapping my hands around both of them at the same time. Emilie was already in Josh's arms. I'll talk to her later.
"You seem happy" My father said while my mother nodded.
"I am" I told them. "Because I saw you" I continued. Roman was frowning just just next to them.
"Sweetheart, we'll talk to you in a few. We have to greet the Alpha Johnson" my father said, already smiling at Roman's father. I nodded then moved slightly out of their way so that they could actually walk to him. I turned to look at Roman who was wearing a suit surprisingly.
He look so fucking Sexy.
"You're beautiful" Roman breathed, as he undressed me with his eyes. His eyes finally settled on my green ones as he stared at me. He smiled.
He actually smiled.
He is going to kill me with that smile.
And that fucking suit.
