Bazaar body was burned from our land and houses were starting to rebuild. Everyone was looking forward to their new life. A life free of being hunted and killed by werewolves knowing Alpha Deucalion and his pack was no harm to us.
The day Alpha Deucalion left. I haven't seen him for days, which felt like months. I understand he and his pack were starting a new life free from Bazaar like us. They were building their new home. I missed him. I yearned to see him again. As the new leader of the land, my mom and I moved into Bazaar's large home. While my mom was decorating the house and trying to make it feel like a home should. I was busy with Daniele teaching me to be the new leader. We have gotten close and I see that he was a friendly and understanding person. Daniele was 23, 1 year older than Alpha Deucalion, and 5 years older than me. Just as Alpha Deucalion he acted mature for his age. They both showed great leadership. I tried asking him to take my title as the new leader of the land for I thought he was the best person to rule over us, but as always he turned me down. He believed the land deserves someone with a heart like mine, pure and selfless.
To celebrate being free from being killed and hunted by werewolves, everyone with the land had decided to have a feast in the forest near the large pond. There will be a lot of food, drinks, and music. I wasn't interested in being a part of the event as much as I was happy about our freedom. All I had on my mind was Alpha Deucalion. I wanted to see him.
"Red, you're going the wrong way," Delaphine stopped me. "The celebration has already started and it's straight ahead before us."
"I know," I retorted. "I won't be a part of it.
Delaphine leered at me and discovered I was going to see the blood-eyed werewolf, Alpha Deucalion.
"Have a great time," she told me.
I nodded.
She hugged me and ran off.
There was no need to watch behind my back and walk along hurriedly within the forest anymore. I took my time knowing all humans were saved.
Suddenly, I stopped, hearing dead leaves rustling behind me. I quickly turned and my body jumped. I saw someone that looked like Turner run from behind a tree. No, it couldn't be I thought. He's dead I saw his burned body and there was no way he could still be alive. I shook my head and quickly turned around now walking quickly. Perhaps I was overworked in training to become the new leader and I'm starting to see things. I again heard the sound and I spun around looking where the sound came from. A bright smile appeared on my face seeing Alpha Deucalion in his human form coming towards me. I ran and hug him.
"You scared me for a minute," I told him.
His strong arms wrapped around me.
"Sorry," he apologized. "I missed you," he told me.
"I missed you too."
My head raises to his and we kissed.
"Being a leader sure takes a lot of you," I looked at him tired.
He gave me a smile.
"Where are you going to celebrate with your kind?" Alpha Deucalion asked.
"No, I was coming to look for you."
His lips slowly went to mind and we again began to kiss.
Alpha Deucalion shifted into his human form.
"Are you taking me to your pack?" I asked.
"No."
"Where?" I asked curiously.
"Climb onto my back and you'll find out soon."
I quickly went on his back.
"Hold tight," he told me.
He started running with me through the forest. We were soon at a top of a large mountain. I could see everyone with my land, celebrating.
I climbed off his back and went under a tree.
"Why did you carry me here?" I asked
Alpha Deucalion shifted within his human form, now naked. My eyes lowered shyly. Alpha Deucalion slowly walked to me. My lips shiver as he gently touched my chin and bring his lips to mine, kissing. I cling to his body.
His mouth went to my neck and I gasped for air. He began to strip me from my dress. I didn't stop him, too desiring what he needed from me. My dress fell to the ground. I was now only in my underwear. He lowers me to the ground as his lips left my neck. We both stared into each other eyes. He steadily slid off my underwear as he did. My eyes closed as his lips slowly went back to mine. Suddenly, it opened hearing a loud lightning sound, and there I didn't see Alpha Deucalion before me anymore. He was gone.
I looked at the sky seeing it had strangely become dark followed by an odd thunderstorm.
"No," I cried.
I quickly put on my clothes and ran to where his pack was, not wanting to believe that the lightning was taking them back to where they belonged. As I arrived at his pack. I saw all werewolves vanishing by lightning. I spun around looking, terrified.
"Red," I heard Cali running to me.
"The lightning took him," I cried for Alpha Deucalion.
"It's taking us back home," she told me.
"No," I again cried out.
The lightning surrounded her.
"Tell him I love him."
It was the last words I told her before she too had completely vanished.
I looked around seeing I was now the only one there. Everyone was gone. Alpha Deucalion had left me and I'll never see me again.
The weather suddenly began to get normal.
I fell down onto my knees and screamed to the last dark cloud I saw flashes of lightning, to take me too. I didn't want to be here without Alpha Deucalion.
It has been 2 years since Alpha Deucalion had gone. I was, now 20 years old and had grown into a wise ruler of my kingdom. Over the years there was not a day I didn't stop thinking about him. In my sleep, I had many dreams of us meeting again and us finishing our beautiful moment under the tree before the lightning took him away from me. I still believed that one day he'll return to the land and we again will meet. I prayed.
